I think Firis probably has the best ost of what I've heard of the Atelier games.

Makes me want to actually catch up since I have Ayesha and Escha/Logy sitting on my shelf.
 

Very good main menu music is not something I normally expect from a First Person Shooter.
 
There's too much to even comprehend but some of my favourite soundtracks are from:
  • Donkey Kong 64
  • Mario RPGs in general
  • Crash Bandicoot (almost any of them really but especially pre-Tag Team Racing and definitely not after then)
  • Earthbound (also a bit of Mother 3)
  • Mario Kart Wii
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (any of them)
 

Never made it this far in the game but I still love this music.

Some music from Ys Oath and Ys Origin. Chop!! and Silent Desert are fucking fantastic. Beyond the Beginning was the track that got me to start playing these games too. It was the Genesis version played during the opening that I heard first but I prefer the in-game one.

This one's just plain good. Good track for a good area.
This is the Chester Rematch theme, such a super fun boss battle and this song captures it so well.
Fantastic final boss theme and the boss itself is amazing and difficult. Each phase making you think of a new strategy to tackle the new threats but always requiring your reflexes to be on point and super tight control over Adol to avoid all the attacks thrown your way. FUCK. I loved this boss.

Was my favourite area theme for a while, it's just such a sick track. Especially the part at 1:14, it makes running around this area such a blast.

I like this one because you only get to hear the full song when playing as one character, the other two will die before getting the luxury of hearing the full track. It's also just good.
This track just gets better and better every time I listen to it on loop, over and over. It feels so motivating, even though the area it plays in isn't the best, I still loved it just because of this track.

I didn't like this one at first but the part at 1:20 warmed me up to it over time, even the bad songs in this game are good songs.
The track that plays for the final stretch, before you face the final boss and after an (arguably) emotional cut scene. It's the kind of track where once it plays, you just can't save and quit, you have to keep going because the end is just right there.

and then this one because I've been listening to it a bit. It's the last Ys game on my list to play until VIII finds its way into english.

also the page might lag like hell because videos seem to still load up the thumbnail part even inside the spoilers now, I feel like they didn't used to do that so the tags don't actually appear to be doing anything anymore. I started to just put in the links for some of mine occasionally a while ago because I usually post a dozen or so every time.
 

Reminds me of Gen III music, which imo was the best Pokemon soundtrack
 

When this played for the first time I was so pumped, I'd been listening to it a few weeks back because I assumed it was an arrangement of Fateful Confrontation not made for any game but I picked it out immediately when the boss battle began. The music in 3rd has been fucking fantastic the entire way through.
