Twas "meh" to me. Maybe with some remixing it could sound better. Still prefer the grand epic music of Galaxy though.

Good Egg Galaxy> Gusty Garden Galaxy
in terms of music.

Well, jazz is an extremely broad genre. And besides, funk has jazz elements, so you can say it's a subgenre.

It's more like big-band jazz similar to Gordon Goodwin and stuff. Jazz, yes, but it only barely scratches the genre.
