Mario at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Has Mario ever made an appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, whether it be as a balloon, a walk around character, or such. Will Mario do so this year or ever. I hope so because i'm tired of seeing Pikachu and Sonic get the nods while Mario hardly never gets anything but games. Mario really needs alot more stuff than just games.
 
yeah because the games are barely getting Mario by with their measly 440+ million sales

but seriously i dont care about parades

id rather see mario at a fireworks display

fireworks are better than parades
