Nah, Mario's head and nose are too disproportionate to his body to be a Homo sapien. He can also jump 2-7 of body lengths when most Homo sapiens can barely jump half.

The definition of Homo sapiens sapiens doesn't fall on head proportions and the ability to jump.

Babies on the moon wouldn't be classified as Homo sapiens sapiens by your definition. :X
