What do you think of Mewtwo's chances in SSB4?

So... do you think Mewtwo will be playable in the new Smash Bros.? I think Greninja has pretty much ruined his chances. What do you think?

I once thought he was a shoe-in, but Greninja AND Charizard being a seperate character has kinda made him a bit more questionable. Mewtwo still has a strong chance if there's room for 6-7 Pokemon though. But only if.

Well, a team has room for 6 Pokémon. There are 4 confirmed, so Mewtwo and Jigglypuff are the last two.

Actually, I think Sceptile would be more likely, as Grass/Fire/Water.
If we have six, Sceptile and Jigglypuff
If five, Jigglypuff

if there's only five pokemon it's most likely between him and jigglypuff and i think jiggly is the more likely of the two

if there are six then they're probably both in, i don't know if they really care enough to finish the trio of starter types and the gen iii remakes may be too late to affect anything

Well I once thought it was too late to include a Gen 6 Pokemon considering the game came out during Smash 4's development. So I think we can't really predict what exactly Gamefreak will want in the game.

Who knows, maybe Gamefreak will even push for seven reps. Pikachu, Lucario, Greninja, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Sceptile, and Mewtwo. Even if those who already think Pokemon has too many reps won't be a fan of that.

If they do that, Mario needs to get 6 or 7 reps, too.

Seven reps is overkill, IMO, but I won't be complaining a lot since it does add opponent variety.

Mario doesn't have over 700 unique characters, though.
