Other people disregard it because they don't like it/have only heard bad things.

I don't think he's belittling the game so much as he doesn't want to start a shitstorm over it by admitting he likes it.
 
I see, it would be like me saying Sticker Star is horrible even though I enjoyed it a lot just because I didn't want to be questioned why.

I guess I can't relate because I still don't see the point in it.

well there arent a lot of bad team ninja games to be honest.

i mean the ninja gaiden games and their upgraded versions are incredible.

Except ng3 but i havent played it yet.
