Actually I have a few reasons as to why I probably feel this way.

One of them being that I enjoyed the battle system, sure it wasn't boots, hammers and FP but the stickers work in a similar way. Boot sticker is boot, Hammer sticker is hammer, FP is just rarer stickers. Though the biggest complaint isn't the battle system, it was not being necessary to fight everything.

I fought everything. I see it, I kill it, I get more stickers/coins, then I can re-buy thing stickers later for puzzles. I think that may have been the intended way to play since it all worked out very neatly, I wouldn't run out of stickers because they were abundant so I didn't feel limited in what I could do during a battle. I also didn't get puzzled by the puzzles for too long. Most were fairly obvious, some were a little more difficult but not absolutely impossible.

Then finally I'm not someone who went into it thinking I would get a similar experience to TTYD. At the time TTYD was my favourite game, so I had the mindset of 'why would I want another TTYD? I already have TTYD, nothing can replace it and they likely won't surpass it' so I just saw it as a fresh new experience. It wasn't like the old games really related back to each other much anyway.

Can't say I care for the plot in a Paper Mario game.

The lack of plot and the lack of the usual paper mario feeling (for most of the game), was what annoyed me the most tbh.

The battle system sucked but you could say I stopped caring.

And the constant backtracking to get thing stickers is a bitch too, I was lucky that people kept telling me what I needed.

Overall it just wasn't enjoyable for me. (And I disagree with the game as a whole if that wasn't appearent enough)

But you gotta agree that some of the levels were just shitty, or at least not as good as others. Right?

You did know about the black market toad right? You can just buy things you need, not like levels are long anyway. You can usually run through an entire level to the place you need in roughly two minutes. Also I'm fond of the sticker mechanic.

I agree that I didn't like 4 of the levels. The underground one in World 1 because I'm not good at the 2d platforming, the poison infested + swinging wood in World 3 because waiting for the swings was annoying, the dumb quiz level with the obnoxious snifits, and the World 5 level with all the junk in it (mainly just bitter because that was one of two puzzles that confused the fuck out of me.). I enjoyed the rest, most of them I enjoyed thoroughly.

I felt like it had the best 'paper' mario feel of the entire series, because it felt like a completely paper made world.

Bruh, I've had this conversation so many times now. I like the game, that's all there is to it.

Bruh, I've had this conversation so many times now. I like the game, that's all there is to it.

That's because there's so much wrong with the game people don't see how anyone can like it, me included

I do see the flaws in the game (no true incentive to battle, bosses are lame, final boss is terrible, thing stickers are required too much, some puzzles can be vague, etc.) but I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it. I like it because it's fun, I'd bet a lot of the 'wrong' things you hated are the things I enjoyed about the game.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: I've enjoyed this a lot, from what I've played it might even be good enough to be in the blue, but im gonna put it in green until i finish
NSMB2: this was ok. i didnt like it a lot but i also didnt feel it was bad enough to go into the red, so i put it at the bottom of orange
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse: this was a great game. really fun addition to the shantae series.
PW:AAT: i loved the pw games when i first played them and i still loved them when i replayed them here so yea. lots of fun
HarmoKnight: i think its a well made game and i enjoyed this but it wasnt something i found super amazing
Mighty Switch Force: this was fun enough. worth the 1.50 i payed for it
A Kappa's Trail: i got this off club nintendo because i thought it sounded interesting enough. i havent played much because i dont like the whole 'monster that catches you if you dont keep moving' idea but it seemed well-made enough
Gunman Clive 2: it was better than the original but i still found myself frustrated on several levels so yea. i liked the ending though
Fluidity: Spin-cycle: well it seemed like a fun game. but once i got past the first set of levels i discovered that in order to go between the pages of the level select you have to use the l and r buttons, and since my r-button is broken i cant progress any further until i get a new 3ds. rip.

• Animal Crossing: New Leaf - I get that it's basically Waiting: The Game but I've invested so much time into this and I always come back to it. It's still my favourite game on the 3DS, end of story.
• Virtue's Last Reward - all over my face, hoping for ZE3 in 2015.
• Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (AAT) - The original, nothing beats Rise from the Ashes (except maybe Farewell and Bridge)
  Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations (AAT) - The contender, goddamn almost every case in this game was amazing except for Recipe (and maybe Stolen). I can't decide which AA game I like more so I'm tying them both for now.
• Super Smash Bros. for 3DS - I love this game to bits but playing the Wii U version has spoiled me :<
• Luigi's Mansion 2 - I haven't touched this game in months b/c post-game content is kinda lacking but man what a ride it was. Luigi's Mansion 3 on Wii U pls
• Tomodachi Life - When I want to play something light w/o any real investment, I play this. It's sometimes stale, but still manages to amuse me with its weirdness.
• Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies - All of the cases were solid (especially the typically amazing last case), but after playing T&T, I rank it a little lower for reasons. The updated visuals are spectacular, though I could do without the anime clips. They felt really out of place aside from the case-opening cutscenes.
• Pokemon Alpha Sapphire - Got this as an early Christmas present but I'm only up to the 7th gym (team: Aggron, Flygon, Breloom, Swampert, Claydol, Linoone (w/HMs lol)). I've stayed relatively in-the-dark about its features so I'm really enjoying stuff like the DexNav. I'm loving it so far but I'll rank it lower than the other games for now. Lack of customisable trainers was a huge bummer at the start, though I've gotten over it since.
• Pokemon Y - The only thing that sucked was the story and the post-game content, everything else was a massive improvement over past games, and it was the first game where I actually completed the National dex.
• Ocarina of Time 3D - Convinced me to get a 3DS, loved it the whole way, though I don't really play it anymore.
• Mario Kart 7 - So much fun but I don't play it anymore. Kart customisation and track list were amazing.
• Ace Attorney: Justice For All (AAT) - two strong cases (Farewell and Reunion), two really weak cases (Lost and Big Top). I didn't like its music either *shrug*. I could easily put it down for most of the game, though I stayed up really late to complete the last case and didn't regret it. All in all though, not my favourite AA game.
• Kid Icarus: Uprising - I enjoyed this game but wouldn't rank it higher than most others.
• New Super Mario Bros. 2 - I thought it'd be more fun than what it actually was.
• Mario Tennis Open - I actually sold this to contribute to my 3DSXL lol

After Alpha Sapphire it's only really small things that separate each game for me, until you get to NSMB2. Mario Tennis Open is so much worse than the rest, however.

If you don't really care then my top five is basically Animal Crossing, VLR, Ace Attorney Trilogy (minus JFA), Smash Bros, then Luigi's Mansion 2. Worst game is Mario Tennis Open.
