What do you think of Nickelodeon today

That toenail scene was the only thing keeping that episode from being a complete bore.

Possibly the reason they added it.

For me, it just ruined what would've been a [barely] passable episode. What was even the point of that scene?

One (or several) of the writers have fascination for gore.

Another example is Pineapple Fever, where Squidward brutally rips his eyebrow off.

Another example is the The Splinter, with the slow mo splinter piercing and all.

Oh, yeah, right, I forgot for a moment we live in an era where half the "humor" of this show is just the writers experimenting with how much gore they can slip through a TV-Y7 rating.

Don't understand how you could forget such a thing...

Or how about how many questionable things they can get through the radars.

But then you have a plethora of other crap like Demolition Doofus, The Little Yellow Book, Squid Baby, Yours Mine, and Mine, Pet Sitter Pat, A Pal for Gary, etc.

Then you get a bunch of boring episodes like Greasy Buffoons, that Kelpshake episode, Fungus Among Us, etc.

Not to mention Squidward Torture Porn and Patprick episodes...and phoned in gore and disturbing imagery

Really if the writers are capable of producing gems, then there shouldn't be any excuse to whore out ---- after ---- constantly
Some people act like all the episodes are just like the ones from the first line you listed. Even MrEnter doesn't do that, even with his contempt for the series.

Hey Lario, would it make any better to know that Mr. Enter will be doing a Top 25 Modern Spongebob episodes this Friday? And no it won't just be "These episodes are mediocre otherwise, but they're the best Modern Spongebob has" these are going to be I believe episodes of Modern Spongebob that Mr. Enter actually does like and enjoy.

Not really. I already knew that he didn't hate the entirety of the post-movie seasons. I just wonder what's going to be on the list.

I'm eagerly awaiting that list :P

I stopped watching TV years ago.

I prefer Youtube and "creative" methods to watch my shows now.

I'm so excited for that. I can't imagine what would be on that list.

By the way, he banned Season 4 and Sand Castles in the Sand. Let's see...what episodes were good post-S4? I liked Krabs a La Mode (the one where Mr. Krabs turns the Krusty Krab into an ice skating rink)...don't remember why though, I haven't watched New Spongebob in a heck of a long time.

That's one of the reasons that Spongebob should NOT be a kids' show.

Also, I hate the Breadwinners so much that I don't just want the show to end/be cancelled, I want there to be a final episode where those two idiots die by crashing into a mountain or something and exploding all over the place. I'm still waiting for the Change.org petition to get 100 signatures because it should be signed already. The Breadwinners should be dead but no, parents actually think that it's a good show for kids to be watching. WHY!? A team of scientists have actually wasted their time to prove that Spongebob can make you children stupider. If Spongebob can make kids stupider, then there's no telling how much of a child's brain Breadwinners can rot. Also, THOSE TWO IDIOTS DON'T EVEN LOOK REMOTELY LIKE DUCKS, THE ANIMATION IS HORRIBLE, AND THE HUMOR IS LAZY. Need I mention that I think I have heard something about former CN president Stuart Snyder a.k.a. Iruinedcartoonnetwork Bybringing Crappyshowstoit working on this show? This show needs to die.

Back on topic, I haven't watched much of any television recently, let alone Nickelodeon. These newer shows don't have my interest, though. I've heard that Robot and Monster was actually fairly charming, although rather abusive towards its characters too.

Where does it say it's coming out today? It hasn't been uploaded yet.

Copying my rant from another thread.

My current mood? Pissed off at Nickelodeon.

I mean, what the hell. First you rush through Korra, announce season 3 only a week before it comes out, and now you have the balls to show a fucking SpongeBob rerun instead of episode 9 of Korra.

Now they force Korra off the air and now it can only be watched online.

Jesus fucking Christ, Nick.

You know what? I'm glad it's online only now. Now I don't have to turn on the fucking channel and I don't have to give Nick any more fucking attention. I use the channel exclusively for Korra, and so do a lot of people. Way to loose viewers there Nick.

God fucking damnit. Do you not know when you have a quality show on your hands? I guess Korra didn't have enough toilet humor for you? God forbid we have quality!

Nick seems to be appalled by any attention coming to their shows from outside their target audience.

See: Both Avatars, Zim, etc.

Expanding on my post....

Not to mention four episodes getting leaked, the show being in a poor timeslot, airing no re-runs, and not even putting the episodes online.

What the fuck Nickelodeon.

Just, what the fuck?

Like I said, irrational hatred of any show getting attention from outside the 4-11 age slot or so. Becomes even more inexplicable when you realize that all three of the shows I listed did well with their "intended" audience anyways.
