What do you think of Nickelodeon today

Long enough that it isn't even on the first page anymore (according to my view settings which is 50 topics per page)

Yeah but there's nothing wrong to make a new thread if the aforementioned thread is relatively old.

Nickelodeon is awful now. They should stop adding moronic shows that mean nothing whatsoever.

It has downgraded into a mess of television we have today. Are there any good shows still on Nick?

Nice blend of dark action and light comedy. I haven't found anything offensive or mind blowingly stupid other than Michelangelo and a version exclusive character called "The Pulverizer". The only thing that might turn people off is that some of the images can be rather graphic, particularly when a mutation occurs.
That just made me totally geek out.

Ok, let me just get this straight: Is there anyone here who thinks modern Nick is not absolute crap?

Yes. Not only have they ruined Spongebob and to a lesser extent FOP, their new cartoons show nothing but gross outs, and their sitcoms aren't funny at all. The only good shows they have now is the TMNT reboot and Korra. Nick used to be so good too.

In my opinion, Nicktoons is much better. They have Old Spongebob and FOP, Danny Phantom, and Avatar. THAT is what Nick SHOULD be.

I'm pretty sure everyone thinks that way.

If their new content continues to be of this level of quality? I'd be just fine with that.

You know a TV channel is failing when it's spinoff channels are better than the main one.
I don't like the cartoons Nick has now.

This. All this. Nick has lost all my respect.
The same could probably be said for Disney XD vs Disney.

The only thing I turn to the regular nick for is Legend of Korra. Even that's not nearly as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender was. But even only half as good as that series is good enough to be the only good thing about the channel. Too bad they're kinda rushing the episode schedule. They don't re-run Korra episodes (Even though they have Modern Spongebob, Sanjay & Craig, Breadwinners nearly 24/7) and the new Season of Korra will be over by early August.

Nick sickens me. They barely run their only good show left and their 90% of their run-time is ----

I've heard that Korra is kinda shitty anyway.

I think the new SpongeBob SquarePants is sometimes way too overhyped on how shitty it is. Sure, it's not good, but not every single episode is literally another One Coarse Meal. A lot of them are just mediocre- they're not good but not really bad, and then there's the few that are actually good.

But then you have a plethora of other crap like Demolition Doofus, The Little Yellow Book, Squid Baby, Yours Mine, and Mine, Pet Sitter Pat, A Pal for Gary, etc.

Then you get a bunch of boring episodes like Greasy Buffoons, that Kelpshake episode, Fungus Among Us, etc.

Not to mention Squidward Torture Porn and Patprick episodes...and phoned in gore and disturbing imagery

Really if the writers are capable of producing gems, then there shouldn't be any excuse to whore out ---- after ---- constantly

Some people act like all the episodes are just like the ones from the first line you listed. Even MrEnter doesn't do that, even with his contempt for the series.

Yes, there's Sandcastles in the Sand, as well as Squidtastic Voyage. I'm well-aware it's not ALL crap.

Still, there's wayy too much other crap that gets in the way of decent episodes and when it's crap, it's REALLY crap

Squidtastic Voyage seems to be one of the more divisive episodes of the later seasons, although it's not that notable.

I didn't particularly care for Squidtastic Voyage either way.

I liked it. I personally think it's one of the better episodes of the modern Spongebob. Well at least I remember it fondly. Compared to The Splinter and House Fancy, which were several reasons I stopped watching Spongebob
