If Ridley was in, he'd definitely be one of, if not the worst character.

I think balance is a reason Ridley is not a playable character. With that hitbox of his, he'd either be OP or crap, depending if his hitboxes are disjointed or not.

And if you scale him down any further than that, he'd look like a pipsqueak compared to his true counterpart.

I mean, Godzillas a different type of game. From what I can tell from that gameplay footage, Smash already has a much huger emphasis on movement and stage control. I don't think it'd be necessarily broken, but it would be very... awkward? Being giant on a stage like Battlefield or Lylat doesn't feel right, since you eat half the stage and can still do things like double jump and roll.

Ridley will only be playable on Great Cave Offensive, Palutena's Temple, Temple, New Pork City when it gets released as dlc, and Pac-Land.

Alternatively, Little Birdie will enter the battle instead and its final smash will be actually transforming into Ridley but it will be nothing but a clone of Charizard's Final Smash.
