There's a difference between brutal honesty and just being a jerk.

For example, whenever I disagree with someone I try to find something we do agree on so they understand that I'm not just bashing their position because it's their position. It's important to show that while you don't approve of whatever they're doing, it's not because you hate them as a person.

The people who can't handle honesty need to grow up, so too bad for them.

um no because honesty can also cause harm to people with unstable minds and hard up bringings.

Honesty is only good when people be honest and also help the person along, brutal honesty does none of that and can cause negative emotions to take effect.

Well, I personally try to help people along when I'm being brutally honest. But some people do indeed use "brutal honesty" as a guise just to attack other people.
