I think that Mario Kart 8 is one that I am fine with, mainly because using a mobius strip as a representation of what Mario Kart 8's tracks are about is appropriate. Mario Kart 7, on the other hand, could go either way. I feel like that game could be either Mario Kart 3D, Mario Kart 3DS or even Mario Kart 7, since I don't feel that Mario Kart 7's name doesn't really explain the introduction of air and water travel.

If it continues with Mario Kart 9, Mario Kart 10, Mario Kart 11, etc, at this point we can't remember to which consoles these games are from. So Mario Kart 3DS, Mario Kart Wii U, etc are at least less bad names.
