Here's what's officially canon and what's not.

Also if Disney wanted to make a bad film they could really just take everything from this http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Glove_of_Darth_Vader. I don't have it myself but it's known among us fans to be really ridiculous and have things like Palpatine's three eyed son and Han's sky house.

but that would mean that awesome characters like mara jade and talon karrade and garm be iblis and delta squad aren't canon

and there's no way you will EVER convince me that grand admiral thrawn and kyle katarn aren't canon. those guys are awesome.

I like Broly, that does not make him canon to the Dragon ball universe though.
