grevious was the only thing i liked about the prequels.

Then again i didnt even like all 3 of the original trilogy.

Ian McDiarmid was amazing as Palpatine. He was just so convincing.

Maul looked cool and had a cool weapon. He's one of the few things I can stand in The Phantom Menace.

Vader and Palpatine on the other hand are some of the greatest villains ever created.

But that's what makes Palpatine so great. Whenever he's onscreen, you can feel such an ominous presence. He can manipulate and psychologically destroy people with just his words while sitting in his chair, looking all menacing. But when he needs someone dead, he isn't afraid to do the dirty work himself.

i like villains that take action, plus most of what was said in the movies was litteraly SOMETHING SOMETHING DARK SIDE

although i guess i enjoyed vader because of the whole breathing thing, the action he put on, and the fact that he has a rad design.

Plus being mostly robot would be dang cool.

But that's what makes Palpatine so great. Whenever he's onscreen, you can feel such an ominous presence. But Thrawn is even more awesome. He doesn't intimidate people with his "lulz i have teh evulz", he just intimidates them with his sheer ability, posture, and genius.

Also he wears a ysalimir to make himself immune to the Force, which is awesome.

I guess if you like action villains, then Thrawn and Palpatine wouldn't be for you. That's understandable.

Don't get me wrong, I love the villains who take action. Perfect Cell is one example of one of my favorite "action type" villains.

But I also like the subtle villains. The ones who are cold, manipulating and can be intimidating through words alone. Palpatine and early Frieza saga Frieza are good examples.
