It is a crime seen, there are three detectives, 7 suspects and 2 working together criminals and 2 people on the scene .

Also BTW, don't have people sign up for criminals, beats the purpose of a mystery....
 
Look, every story has a possibility of bing bad. I'm not saying that it will neccessarily by bad.

To be fair, until he introduces some kind of gimmick or plot that differentiates his story from yours, it's still a rip-off.
Also, in a myster, you should never say that there are two criminals working together. The detectives have to figure out how many people are working together for themselves.
You also have quite a large list of characters for your first story.
