You might not agree with this, but the fact is, all the Donkey Kong and WarioWare characters are fair game for being added into Mario spin-offs. This is primarily because the main characters of those series' have been involved in at least one mainstream Mario title, or have interacted with Mario in at least one sub-series; Wario is the main antagonist of Super Mario Land 2; Donkey Kong is the main antagonist of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series.
But if Nintendo goes so far as to include Link, Samus, Kirby, and/or Fox, then that's a huge problem, since neither one of those characters are of the same universe as Mario.
Plus, Wario already has a partner, so no Wario characters are needed.Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel said:MnSG said:FMGBASKFH said:Please, NO. I think he meant like Mona and Candy Kong. Because Wario and DK were kind of in the series from the beginning but got their own series along the way. And like Koopaul said, DK needed a partner, so they took Diddy but no more Kongs need to be included.

Baby Luigi said:Donkey Kong and Wario integrating into the Mario series is far better than Miis integrating in to the Mario series.
This isn't the game to put Donkey Kong and Wario characters, though. Leave that to larger rosters.
