I don't see any reason to adapt existing material from prior stories when they can generate more steam coming up with new ideas.

They have a sextillion Pokemon movies and not a single one referenced the more story heavy entries with greater stakes (the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games) I strongly doubt they'll make an exception here. Plus Sonic already has 3 movies and it's a slim chance they'll make a dedicated movie...

The entire point of amiibos is collecting characters and I'm not exactly thrilled that they kinda stopped production without giving some other playable characters amiibo. Toadette was a giant sore spot too, because she was the only playable character in Mario Party: Star Rush without one.

I'm with Xiahou Dun with this one. I don't even like platformers all that much tbh. Also, I *barely* consider the collection of games a remaster to begin with, they just upscaled some textures, made it run in higher resolutions, added some storybook shit, and basically called it a day.
