If you had to be stuck in any video game for 20 years as one of its playable characters, what game would you choose?

Final time, 1 hour, 58 minutes, 13 seconds (and 73 centiseconds), which would be 4332nd place, but not bad for my third ever any%.
Here's my splits times, but I'm not submitting the run since it was so slow
My splits were usually in the transition to the next kingdom (world screen), but Lost's was a bit into Night Metro on accident

Scratch everything this post said originally, I'm going to be doing a speedrun of my school's esports Discord choice out of Pizza Tower, Odyssey, or learning Bananza's any% route. Let me know if you have a pick that you want me to do.

Also, as I'm working on adapting Bananza's final boss into 2D for Levelhead and remaking its music track in that game, my mom questioned me about the legality of it and if it went into any copyright laws. I saw that if it is a cover, it is derivative content, so it doesn't fall under that, but I don't want to give Nintendo my name, phone number, and email to ask an employee about it. I think it's fine, but if anyone here thinks otherwise, please tell me.

I think I'm having some form of awakening when it comes to video game rock songs as of late, first Matriarch from Rift of the Necrodancer a while back, and now [nondisclosable due to spoilers] that I've talked about in a previous post

I have 100%ed the Lagoon Layer and I have found the best way to get lots of gold.

Easiest way to make myself worse at Mario Kart is tilt controls, I guess. Also my family got together and played LEGO Party, most of us were CACKLING when we played the minigame Very Tall Race

I've also been Bananza-ing, I'm done with 6 layers so far and have 100%'ed one of them (being the divide and its nine bananas)

I'm gonna try to 100% mario kart world, and nothing will stop me, no matter how insane this will be

My parents just gaslit me and messed with me SO HARD this morning but it's all good!

There were three strikes and seven presents to go through (it will be obvious why at the end)

Bananza was in the second present I opened, wrapped into a pair of pants, and my hopes skyrocketed. I didn't ask for S2 for Christmas, but y'know. They said they got the wrong Donkey Kong, which is understandable because of all the different ones. My eyebrow dropped a bit after that.

Then, Sonic Shadow Generations (Switch 2) was in the fourth present, below another pair of pants and wrapped in bubble wrap. Eyebrow height increased by 25%. They said they just bought the wrong version.

In the one after that, a Switch 2 carrying case. Hmmmm. It was the only one they could find, they said. Eyebrow raised so high it could be touching the roof.

Then the one they said to open last. Amazon box. Switch 2. They messed with me so hard, and apparently the path to get it was ridiculous at target, but I really appreciate it now lol

Merry Christmas Eve! It's a Christmas miracle I managed to win this run and find a synergy in cards, and in one hand no less


So I'll explain the Jokers in play here, from left to right:
Photograph doubles the Multiplier for the first face card scored
Hiker permanately adds 5 Chips to every card scored
Blueprint copies the ability of the Joker to its right, if compatible (Hanging Chad)
Hanging Chad retriggers the first scored card as well as any other Jokers triggered by it twice (so Blueprint makes it 4 repeats or 5 total redos)
Abstract adds 3 Mult for every Joker you have (so 21), but it was disabled by the Boss here
Crazy adds 12 Mult if you played a Straight
Burning levels up the first hand you discard (so if you discard a Pair, it upgrades the Pair which increases later points)
So yeah a deck with lots of face cards caused that

Merry Christmas Eve Eve. I lost another game on the Pirate board by one stud, and the CPU made sure to chance time one brick away from me to the guy in second, and the game ended with that guy with 3 stars and 187 studs, and me with 3 stars and 186. Why are they so evil on the board but they can't compute in minigames lol

Man, LEGO Party's Pirate board is evil. I'm going against EASY CPU's (learning still) and losing horribly because an event that, with an increasing toll, fires off something at a random other player, which can knock a Star (golden brick really, but eh) off of you to another space, so you lose 50 bucks and give someone a star for free. Then in the same turn I get my money stolen, and get hit by another chicken, so there goes my Brick and 75% of my money in one turn to easy CPUs. This game's so difficult in cases, but I love it anyway as my first departure party game since Mario Party

After getting Sonic Racing Crossworlds yesterday (my first racing game I've gotten in a few years, only other besides MK is CTR on Switch), its safe to say that I like this game's gimmicks and the way it differentiates itself. I mean I never expected there to be a choice to make in the middle of a race if you're ahead at the end of Lap 1. Already done 3 cups with a rival on Lvl. 4 each time, on the slowest speed though

Well its been quite the year, so I decided to start a new lil tradition: birthday posts being about my past year.

Best way I could describe it is with one quote from Berdly from Deltarune: "Time's-a pretty good, time's-a pretty bad."

The first part of my year was pretty rough, finishing out middle school and dealing with bullies galore, while also gaining a trigger for that anger because of all the brainrot words they used, which is why I get triggered by that so easily. I don't remember much else about the first half, but this stuck the most. I passed classes, graduated middle school, and got to move on to my summer, which was pretty uneventful. I think I remember 100%ing Pizza Tower around then and finding out about the Necrodancer series and other games through it.

The second half was much, much better. Continuing onward through my Necrodancer saga, I beat both games (just barely on Crypt ) and continued to get better at them, like taking high scores on my favorite tracks and reaching the skill required to beat Impossible tracks. I made some awesome friends through my new school's esports program (who are still awesome to this day) and got to play some more games I love more and more by the day. Balatro, Celeste, Just Shapes and Beats, more I can't easily recall or haven't beaten. What's more, I'm officially back into writing 'Shroom articles (I NEED TO GET TO WORK LOL) and I can't wait for the future on that. I also got to experience Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 for the first time with little spoilers, so that's great.

Not sure much about the further future, but I hope more like the latter half is to come. I'll be learning how to drive more soon (which I am not fond of, but I can do it) and hopefully starting to develop my own games. I also hope to learn to speedrun more, and who knows, maybe a spot in the top 1000 eventually in Odyssey, if I can get my capture card working? If I do, I will officially start making videos as well, but that's a bit up to straws until later on my birthday.

Other than that, thank you all for being here for me the times I needed it. I'm tearing up a bit about it as I type, but here's to all the more years here, there, and everywhere!
