Spoilers for late-game Mario + Luigi Brothership below
I really do not like the Monster Mania quests, because you just have to get lucky on your strategy or else you'll take a beating.
I had taken a break from Brothership for a while and got back into it with the fight against Glohm Pipegunk, then began working on the quests I had left, which were both the Monster Manias, 4 and 5.
For 4, I tried something, died instantly, then went and farmed Seedle Seeds so I could use the intended method for it, then decimated it and got two Golden Seedles there as well.
For 5, my strat almost worked, just to fail right at the end. I decided to whittle their health down to within 25% (using jumps mainly), which typically took a couple turns due to being Level 42, if I recall correctly. I whittled all the troopers down to that, except for one which I thought might need a tap but left it be. I used Zapperator, and the top one survived by a sliver and the battle effectively restarted. Ugh...
