  • I know I said I would be back tomorrow but I guess I'm making my grand return a day early. I've had a really nice vacation though. It's been so nice to spend time with my dad and get to see all my family and friends. I've also been playing a lot of Miitopia on the Switch and I could very easily complain about some of it, but it's still Miitopia and Miitopia is still my favorite game of all time.
I'm so glad I rebeat the Darkest Lord so I could get the other ending and unlock the Tower of Dread then immediately changed my mind as to who the Reborn should be so I had to the fight and watch the cutscenes and unskippable credits all over again. Time for me to work toward some kind of completion though.
Shoutout to the random YouTube commenter who inspired the story that I started in Palette Swap (which you should go read, I'm proud of it). I'll be working on that story until I'm a grad student so get excited.
Only two more Mario Party games left for this script before I have to get to the final ranking of all 1000 something minigames.

There's 182 minigames to rank in just those two games though, that's going to be so tiring 😭
Miitopia's main story is about 30 hours long.

I beat it in three days. I love this game that much.

Side note, but I'm definitely not almost crying from reaching the ending.
So my favorite game of all time is Miitopia 3DS and one of my favorite things about it is that you can have a villain whose name is just... a normal dude name. Like, yes, I love venturing out with my party consisting of a mage, a warrior, a scientist, and an imp to fight the evil Dark Lord: Barry.
I had a dream that this place added what's basically just Discord Nitro so you too could have the option to use a GIF as your PFP.

The only thing standing between me and making my own Mario 64 hack is my complete ineptitude at 3D modeling.
Doesn't matter how many times I tell myself it never works like this, but every time I write anything I convince myself that whoever reads it won't like it. I don't know how to break out of this mindset or if I even can at all since I deal with anxiety so much.

    Are you a people pleaser?

I'm a people pleaser to a horrible degree, it sucks.

I am too! Sometimes it's good, sometimes it blows up your brain, but I believe you can pull through! Something that can help is little reminders to yourself (self-love).
    - You don't have to make everyone happy; that's a horrendously impossible responsibility.
    - In your writing (heck, and life), strive for progress over perfection. You'll never write something that everyone will love and that's ok. So long as you write consistently, you'll see gradual improvement.
    - Drafts exist for a reason! And that reason is to exist, to hone your craft and to mark how far you've come.

Is writing something you want to do as a career, or something you do as a hobby?
So I have this Dark Reader plugin that I use to set websites to dark mode but for some reason it keeps making the wiki freak out really bad? Even though I have it turned off since I already have the wiki set to dark mode, the links keep randomly flickering between being blue and white.

Hm, I also have Dark Reader and don't have this problem so are you sure it's the plugin causing the flickering?

I'd been using the wiki pretty consistently before I installed Dark Reader and I had no issues. They only started after I installed Dark Reader.

    I don't know then, sorry
Surely developing a crush can't be that bad, it will probably wear off in a few days and I can move on-

Question for any writers; if something you're working on isn't coming along how you want, what do you do?

That ended up helping a lot, I thought of some new ideas for the story I'm working on last night and now it's coming along a lot better.
In the span of just about a week, I wrote about 43 thousand words of video script and I still can't stop no matter how much I burn myself out so I'm glad I'm getting physically barred from writing more script until I get my copy of Island Tour in the mail.
Being surrounded by visual artists has made me so inferior about being a writer that I... wrote.

I wrote a creative nonfiction piece talking about my frustrations with social media and the classism that's arisen because of how social media is meant to be consumed.

I don't. I think others feel the same way, especially those with broken mics.

I regret staying up this late to finish a section of my script but I'm officially definitely over the halfway point of this video and it only took 49 thousand words to get there.
I've been working on a video script and in the course of about four days, I wrote approximately 283 entries plus intermissions, 67 pages, and 22 thousand words.

I would highly discourage doing that to anyone who wants to make videos because I just gave myself a one way ticket to burnout city.
I'm surprised Tricky Tires and Weird Wheels don't have a "not to be confused" label because I just confused them.

I finally unlocked Twist 'n' Out from Mario Party 5 and all it took was me moving to Tornado Alley and living here for almost three years.
