Vpns probably alleviate the situation but

If there's one reason I'm glad I was homeschooled, it's that I didn't have to deal with a bunch of old fucks trying to impose their values on the new generation.

Well teachers that do this, unreasonably force their values on students who see things differently, should be ashamed of being teachers.

@Ignazio Salvaggi How would a VPN help? Not trying to be rude, I just don't know how those work

They change your IP adress to trick websites into thinking you're on another Wi-Fi network, which can be used to bypass blockades like that

The issue is that those cost money, and I definitely can't add that to the school mandated computer (It won't let you install anything)

I really hate when schools do stuff like this. The only thing they do is make students more miserable with their shitty mandates. Not having other stuff to do during school is really boring and it doesn't make you concentrate more in your lessons, it just makes you hate them more. It's kinda counterproductive when you think about it.

The school blocks a ton of sites, even the ones that were used for assignments by teachers last year. The fact that I frequently have to jump through hoops just to get schoolwork done has seriously demotivated me. I'm frequently just feeling drained and tired, and I constantly get home from school and immediately fall asleep.
This goddamn school is sucking away any shriveled and hateful fragment of my soul that remains.

Wow. Thank god I'm not in your position right now. That definitely sounds like a completely miserable experience to be in. Really is one of the things that makes me glad I do my school online...
