: I doubt so skillful a thief would conduct their operation alone. We may breathe easier, but we musn't relax our vigilance. Please, return to your lodgings, and may we all reconvene coming dawn.

IT IS NOW NIGHT TWO.

Use this time to privately submit actions to the hosts. You may submit your actions or ask questions in your role PMs. As stated in the lounge thread, night phases will last for 23 hours to allow the hosts time to process night actions.

Night Two ends at Adjusted Time .

Cool NS is innocent, sorry about that

Xiahou Ba: Wow, that's fantastic news! Some of us were right on the money for a Day 2 lynch and we didn't kill each other! Well, I think it was maybe a bit lucky we got him and not an innocent, but good job everyone! 1 down, uhhh...some more to go, I guess! Not only that, but because he was Mafia, we could use this execution to our advantage, deduce some more clues, and track down the remaining targets from this newly gathered information. See you tomorrow!

Waluigi Time, looks like we found your silencer/roleblocker.

Just saw this post edit. A miller is a member of the innocent town who reads as Mafia whenever an investigative role targets them. That's the core concept, but oftentimes miller will be paired with another role power, so that they aren't just a detriment to the inno team.

If only this were the case, friend. Unfortunately, my millin' is all I've got. It's a rough life, aye - but it's mine.

"Arceus Almighty, looks like luck was on our side as the majority chose to keep their votes placed upon the Solarus sage, allowing us to banish a thief from our company! I highly doubt that we will be as lucky moving forward, however, so we must use this time to let the information we've gained from this sink in and then use it to our advantage by the time the morning sun ends up vanquishing the dark sacred night yet again."

SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED!

  • Reverse Input has, after communicating with the hosts, dropped from the game. @Super Jack Sunshine (Cloudwalker) has agreed to replace him.
  • BabyLuigiOnFire has, after communicating with the hosts, dropped from the game. @October Yoshi the SSM (YtSSM) has agreed to replace her.
  • Thank you very much to these two replacements!

: Even through hardship, we must recall the blessings which we have received. The rains quelled the fire, and your efforts exposed a thief prior to the dusk. Let us hope fortune remains on our side, and proceed with our daily deliberations.

IT IS NOW DAY THREE.

You may use this time to discuss suspicions and to cast votes towards a player's elimination. To place a vote, use the format: "Vote: Player". The player with the most votes at the end of the phase will be eliminated. To vote for no elimination, use the following format: "Vote: No elimination".

Day Three ends at Adjusted Time .

Knuckles: "So this is the land of Pokemon that Meowstic is from. Well, hopefully I can fulfill Meowstic's request and help you guys weed out these thieves."
Explaining.png
Knuckles: "Now, coming in here, I have heard that Miller is a generic Miller and I doubted the claim. I even said so in what is called a Spectator Chat. So, that was my hunch when I heard it. Granted, having a role like Bulletproof could be a reason for having no powers with it. But I still find it suspicious. But it may be a little early to cast a vote against this Miller because that Miller clearly said basically getting no information and a vote on them this early will not really provide any useful information for me. Which is why I will..."

Knuckles: "Vote: Power Flotzo. This is what I determined to be my most probable way for me to help you guys find these thieves. Hopefully, something comes out of this vote."

RP_Cecilia_Portrait.png

From the looks of it, I believe our evildoers went after what I consider an easy target. Mr. Lightning became the tiebreaker in the elimination of Solarus. If anything, I considered the scenario of a likely evidence that Mr. Lightning was indeed innocent because of that.

Furthermore, I cannot quite shake the impression that our evildoers either managed to conceal themselves somewhere in the Day 2 voting, trusting that our pure-hearted souls would stumble into a miselimination of their own accord, or found themselves in something of a weird predicament when Solarus, one of their own, found himself facing elimination by the strength of a mere two votes: mine and Mr. Lightning's one.

In the light of these events, I suspect they may have been some hesitancy for our evildoers to expose themselves, let they risk attempts to protect Solarus from an elimination, which most likely would have place them in considerably hotter water in the long run.

With this development, a few things have become clearer to me, along with a few suspicions which I cannot quite seem to put to rest in my poor little mind of mine.

  • Calista (Waluigi Time) claimed to have been target of the silencer, which has now been revealed to have been Solarus. I struggle to see what our evildoers would have had to gain by orchestrating a situation where they would be targeting themselves? There is, moreover, the rather conspicuous absence of anyone attempting to counterclaim them. I find neither explanation particularly convincing. Accordingly, I am quite comfortable clearing Calista in my mind, at least for the time being.

  • I am likewise leaning towards Roserade being innocent. They were rather determined to see me eliminated on the basis of doubts, which, I must admit, I found reasonable enough. That said, had I been eliminated and Solarus subsequently revealed as an evildoer, that would have put Roserade in rather hot waters. For the moment, then, I am inclined to give them the benefit of the doubts.

  • I do, however, find myself with some lingering doubts regarding Mr. Shmilbert (ClawgripFan). His vote seems to wander rather considerably throughout the phase, from falling in the line of bandwagon by voting Roserade, which was called out by our dear warrior Xiahou Ba (Blof). That caused him to withdrew his vote and redirected suspicion away towards Miss Calista, only to ultimately refrain from voting altogether. There is something about the sequence which leaves me rather uneasy. It strikes me as an almost deliberate effort to avoid attracting too much attention to himself by remaining just sufficiently involved but without becoming particularly accountable for where he stood.

  • Of course, there is also dear Hariyama (Power Flotzo) who conveniently show themselves at the end of the day, only to decline to vote for anyone at all. Hmm… This is not reassuring either.

RP_Cecilia_Portrait_Angry.png

I cannot help but wonder whether Solarus being ahead in the vote count by a mere single vote left the evildoers between a rather rock and a hard place. They could have attempted to force a tie and cause a miselimination, but that would absolutely drawn an absurd amount of attention towards them if a pure-hearted soul were to be eliminated. The alternative scenario might have been to keep their heads down and allowed Solarus to be eliminated, lest they draw attention being redirected to them.

I cannot with any certainty have full confidence upon my claims, and yet, I consider the absence of votes during the Day 2 elimination troubling. Something about it strikes me as rather fishy. Five out of eleven individuals!

Vote: ClawgripFan9001

Let us start here, shall we? Do you have any suspicions towards anyone in particular at this point in time, or something you could claim as a good lead for us to delve into?

Right, let's get discussion rolling -person who once again has been ninja'd by a Ninja Squid post. How funny

Coco definitely died because she was the most confirmed innocent of anyone in the game thus far. Her vote is the one that knocked out Boo, and we'd have no reason to believe that she was playing a wild mafia gambit and eliminating what is potentially their most powerful role day 2

I think this is enough basis to also lay off NS for now. While he technically could still be mafia, the chances that he let his Roleblocker go to the gallows are very slim. It was only day 2, we were without much information at all, and there would've been plenty of chances and reason for him to swap his vote before the day was up. Him still being alive is probably because there is still room for doubt, and the Mafia are hoping for us to hold onto that doubt

Unfortunately, Boo's posts don't give us a ton of info to go off of. Outside of roleplay, the main theory he posited was that Coco was guilty. It was already a flawed argument, but now the person he was trying to accuse has died and flipped inno, so, lol

To be frank, I don't believe FWD when he says he's a vanilla miller. I'm not sure what him lying means for the game right now, but in a twelve player role madness, you're not going to have any vanilla townspeople, and I can't imagine a vanilla miller to be any more likely than that. He's almost definitely got something else going on, but I can't say going for him is the best move in case he's disguising that he's really like, the doctor or something. If he sticks around for a few more phases I will start shaking his shoulders

WT has thus far claimed to be silenced, which has been demonstrated to be a real rolepower in the game. I'm willing to believe this for now, though it could obviously be a coordinated Mafia ploy to get him to appear more innocent. I feel like this would a waste of an early Mafia power though, unless they assumed that they would fly under the radar enough day 2 to set up a bluff long-term. I dunno, I think he's fine as things currently stand, but I would like him to be more vocal

We're playing a twelve person game, so high chances are that there are three Mafia members total. At this point, there would be only two in play. If I had to take a guess at what we're playing with, there's probably some kind of role cop as an information-gathering role, and then the godfather. Keep that in mind for if people start claiming or counterclaiming cop, because there could easily be one on each team

I'm going to Vote: Fun With Despair, but not as a long-term thing. I'd like to put on pressure to see where he votes today. Power Flotzo's already got a vote on him, so I'm not voting him yet - but I will flip my vote there if I don't see some clear indication of commitment on his part

"Mm, I cannot say that I currently have any players left in the game as it currently stands that rattle my nonexistent whiskers, I'm afraid...Neither do I have any claims that could potentially get us anywhere closer to ousting the remainder of the thieves from our midst, seeing as I do not find myself in possession of any role powers that could assist me in sleuthing during the night. That might be a claim in of itself, which I will admit makes me unsure if it could be of use in the long term, but I would advise you to do with that information what you will."

0297DXHariyamaDeluxe.png

It seems I have a vote on me before the halfway point... but I refuse to go down without a fight.

I still do not have any leads to go off, other than NS could very well be the innocent cop as he was the one leading the charge against Solarus. The person I am most suspicious of is the Ditto, as they have only spoken a single word since the beginning of this phase.

Vote: Cloudwalker

Would you care to share your thoughts with us?

Thinking.png

Huh. Well that's a lot to think over for a short amount of time. I guess you gotta give the thieves some credit for being able to take Pokémon out without giving us much of a clue- but on the other hand, it's super weird how willing they were to just let the Dhelmise slide through yesterday. There's probably something we can get from that right? It seems like the Roserade and the event Gulpin are doing some great thinking, though! I really think the Roserade is making some great points there!

The one person who did put up a little bit of resistance for the Dhelmise- and I mean tiny, so it's not a lot to go on- is Calista. There's a chance that she just wants to help out another Grass type, but it could also have been an attempt to start a chain reaction- maybe get someone else to come to the defence and be seen as the main ringleader, and then have them go down instead if it didn't work? But as people pointed out, it doesn't seem very effective to roleblock someone on your own team- or to risk someone else failing to mention it, or to try to cause confusion by having two people say that they're blocked... this is really tricky, huh? I'd still like to see what Calista makes of the new information coming up though.

I also have my doubts about the Miller, and I guess we're all waiting on that front, huh? So that leaves two people we're waiting on, and one of those we all want an explanation from... plus I don't really feel like Shmilbert answered the Johtonian Sandslash's question (He looks like a Fire or Fighting type, Candela would love to hear about that!), even though Ditto can take time to adapt to a new form they're mimicking, it's given a bit more of an opinion, albeit a common one, but it could use a bit of time to warm up. So many options, I don't know which way to vote! I think I'll Vote: Waluigi Time for now, that way between us we've got at least one vote on all the bases covered, and working together often leads to the best results! Once we get a few more answers, I definitely think I'll move my vote around. Sorry to be going after you again Calista, I guess you're just a quiet person, but in a situation like this, we really need you to speak up- and with the roleblocker gone, you can really make your voice heard today!

Vote Tally
Power Flotzo (1) - Yoshi the SSM
ClawgripFan9001 (1) - Ninja Squid
Fun With Despair (1) - Roserade
Cloudwalker (1) - Power Flotzo
Waluigi Time (1) - BBQ Turtle

24 hours remain! As a reminder, a tie will result in no elimination for the phase.

I'm still not sure if I feel very empowered by PF's vote, but I am glad he's at least pointing the finger in someone's direction. I would love for Cloudwalker to give us some distinct game thoughts by the end of this phase

But BBQ is right in that the only person who hopped to Boo's defense directly is WT, and that's for sure notable. He's thus far stayed quiet today, and there's really no proof that he was silenced, because we never saw him attempt to place a vote. It's possible his own bluff forced a situation where WT literally couldn't save Boo by voting elsewhere?

The one thing is that I'm not sure why Mafia would want to waste a roleblock by either using it on a teammate or not using it at all. Maybe they used a one-two roleblock-nightkill on Fanta to eliminate the chance of hitting the bulletproof and ensure an innocent dropped n1?

I'm keeping my vote on FWD until I hear from him, but I can't deny the feeling in my gut that's building up. That said, I've also been dead wrong in this game before and we're much too early for me to say anything definitive about WT

It's unfortunate to see the corruption twisting nature to its own purposes, but at least we are closer to restoring balance. Perhaps I should say clearly for everyone's benefit, since our enemies undoubtedly know thanks to Solarus, yes, I do have power granted to me by nature to use under the moonlight. No, I won't tell you what it is. Let that seed grow in its own time.

The theory of the feuding vehicles... we know now that the one Solarus pointed his petals at was innocent. If I may be frank, it was a theory that no one with roots should've taken seriously. That is why I didn't suspect him, at the time. Whatever he was doing... It likely wasn't much of a team effort, in hindsight. To then immediately eliminate one of the two after Solarus' deception was revealed almost feels as if the corruption is trying to gain whatever advantage they can out of a poor situation and direct our attention somewhere very specific. What was he calling himself again? Sonic? Ditto? Perhaps worth keeping an eye on, but I don't think he's who we should be trying to uproot.

Although... didn't he seem a little bit different yesterday? Maybe it's just a trick of the sunlight.

I can say I fully trust the slime now. A cynical one may say it could've been an attempt to secure trust with the rest of us... I say cutting down a powerful teammate this early, with no real suspicion being directed towards them, would be one of the worst misplays I've ever witnessed in all my years. There's trying to gain positive reputation when the time is right, and then there's deliberately tearing down one's own team.

In the way of suspicions... There is the miller, of course, who has already been discussed. I'd still like to hear from him, at least. I'm also considering the Roserade, as much as it pains me to think nature would betray us... again. Please, don't mistake this for retaliation. I don't fault their suspicion, as much as I disagree that it would ever be in the corruption's interest to spend the first night wasting two of their powers, with lingering consequences. But from past experience, I can say that sometimes the corruption may be among the loudest voices, and that's very easy to do when so many are quiet, don't you think? I'm not saying talking is a crime, it just gives me pause... Though, if anything between the two of them, it's probably only one or the other.

For now... Vote: Fun With Despair. Let's at least get some thoughts from everyone before the sun sets.

I apologize for being unable to be more attentive to the proceedings so far. Everything should be much clearer, now.

man-dressed-as-miller.jpg

Whoa, whoa - calm down, mates. Like I've been sayin', I'm just a humble Miller. Believe me lads, I'd be singing a different tune if I had anything useful to do, but I thought I'd claim early so the men and women in charge of this town's law enforcement would know to look elsewhere. I'd certainly like to have another job to do, but I'm starved for choice, see.

Of course, I've got plenty to say besides that though. For one, I agree with Roserade that anyone defendin' that old Boo fella is mighty suspicious, but as a day one lynch with not much in the way of information, I'm not liable to suspect Waluigi Time. Furthermore, Roserade was the type to vote against that fella, which gives me quite the bad feelin' considering what I was feeling on our first night. Beyond that though, we've got plenty of new players so it's hard to judge terribly hard. I dare say I trust Ninja Squid above all though - it'd be mighty strange to bus Boo right off the bat, wouldn't it?

I understand the suspicion - and you're welcome to lynch me if you want - but I don't know what else to say beyond the simple fact that I was tryin' to get ahead of the curve. 'Spose in the simplest sense, my best bet is to Vote: Roserade just to even the score, aye?

"I suppose I could spare a few words myself before the night sets in again. It certainly is reasonable to assume that anyone who sided with Solarus (Boo) is one to be on the lookout for, but anything said by them is to be taken with a grain of salt just as much as anything that is said during these social deduction games. Likewise, I can state with a high degree of confidence that the Lady Blob (Ninja Squid) is undoubtedly on the side of good based on all that has been said and done on her end of things, and I cannot fault her for casting a vote towards me, so I have no hard feelings towards her in that regard. I still find it hard to get a read on the Miller (Fun With Despair) just as much as anyone else who has been vocal at some point during this game, however. Maybe their claims of being a vanilla Miller are to serve as a setup for a long con? It is very difficult to say for certain, but they're another party to be keeping out eye on going forward."

Clawgrip why aren't you voting

We don't have the time on day 3 to not be voting. I'd love to see you point your finger somewhere

"Fair enough. I hope that by casting this deciding vote towards the Miller, we will find out if they've been telling the truth all along. Vote: Fun With Despair."

RP_Cecilia_Portrait.png

For what it's worth, I ought to keep my vote on Mr. Shmilbert. He appeared to have been unable to point out any doubts or suspicions on precisely anyone, having to be pressed on by Roserade to cast a vote, and then bandwagoning on the Mr. Miller's vote is very... strange.

Although, I must question myself again regarding the status of Mr. Miller. I am doubtful that Miller is all he has, but colour me surprised if it turns out to be the case.

This post is going to turn into a directionless ramble probably

I'm really stumped on if actually getting FWD out today is the right call. On the one hand, if he is just the Miller as he says, then voting him out is basically no loss for the town. He's an informationless, powerless number that we can afford to lose on account of already getting a Mafia member

It also feels like, if he were a Mafia member, he'd probably be fighting a little harder to stay alive, right? Like, he ought to have tossed out a roleclaim or something by this point, unless he hopes that we're going to talk ourselves out of voting him out (which might be exactly what I do lol). Knocking out two mafians by the end of Day 3 would be a death sentence for them, so he'd probably try something to stick around by this point, even if it's a hail mary

If FWD is really a powerful innocent role, now is probably also the time to roleclaim, since we're hot on his tail. If he has an honest claim, nobody will dispute him, and it's probably better that we know if he's the cop or the doctor than send him to the gallows. And without a Mafia roleblocker and presumably an innocent doctor somewhere in our midst, there's much less threat in having your role power out there right now

Maybe I'm crazy but I'm just not convinced by the fight he's putting up. In the world where I'm hyperanalyzing a guy who's literally just the miller, my apologies, but it just feels... wrong?? Especially when his primary defense at this point is to toss a vote back at me

Is there a world where he's the jester?? Attempting to claim a powerless role to ensure that we eliminate him on the basis of uselessness and distrust?? It'd be one hell of a master con and I'd love the reality where this is true

I don't know, I'm not wanting to look like I'm bandwagoning along with the basically confirmed innocent player, but I think I'm keeping my vote on ClawgripFan. I'm also not really a fan of how he's moving in this game, and I'm just too bewildered by everything in FWD's sphere to return my vote to him. There's a very funny world where FWD is so entirely the vanilla miller and I'm just delusional

I'm still not sure if I feel very empowered by PF's vote, but I am glad he's at least pointing the finger in someone's direction. I would love for Cloudwalker to give us some distinct game thoughts by the end of this phase.

Knuckles: "Yeah. But it is at least something to go off of for Power Flotzo. I am glad my vote did cause them to do something. As for Cloudwalker..."
Grumpy.png
Knuckles: "I am giving Ditto the benefit of doubt because they are a replacement like me. Hopefully we get some thoughts other than Miller is sus. That is obvious. Let me tell you how obvious it is. Toadettefan in Spectator Chat thought that there's more to this Miller than what is being said. And Toadettefan isn't playing in the game. But besides that, whether Miller is a thief or not, there is another thief out there."
Default.png
Knuckles: "I took a shot in the dark at that Flotzo so that I have at least something to work on going forward for Flotzo. But Nine wants some eggs cracked and not have passive playing. And seeing clearly the reason for why FWD is a common sus, I will..."
Determined.pngKnuckles: "Unvote: Power Flotzo and Vote: Crawgrip. Let's see if you are right, Roserade."
