A list of Super Smash Bros franchises where Nintendo exists within the universe.

I've noticed that there are a lot of Nintendo franchises where Nintendo consoles exist within the universe. So as a fun bit of trivia I'll list every one that I can think of off the top of my head here. Let me know if there are any more that you can think of.

Mario: A Toad in the thousand year door mentions playing Fire Emblem on the Game Boy Advance, the computer in a later chapter is based on a giant gameboy advance, and there are stages shaped like the Nintendo DS and Gamecube in Mario Kart.

Animal Crossing: You can acquire Nintendo consoles in game, some games even let you play classic games emulated within the game.

Pokémon: The player character in Pokémon usually has the latest Nintendo console of the day in their bedroom.

Splatoon: Nintendo used to exist, a wii-u is found as an ancient fossilized artifact.

Pikmin: Similar to Splatoon, takes place on an abandoned earth, Nintendo consoles and paraphernalia are found as treasures in some games.

Miis: The wii-fit balance board is seen within Wii-fit, there is also a theme park dedicated to Nintendo.

Bayonetta: Bayonetta has the ability to wear costumes where she cosplays as Nintendo characters, implying the existence of the company in-universe.

Luigi's Mansion has the Game Boy Horror and the Virtual Boo.

 

[Hint Toad]

In Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong pulls out a DS if you leave him idle for awhile.
The Nintendo logo is also on Diddy Kong's hat.

WarioWare! Like, we could go on forever with Nintendo console appearances, but lets stick to the big one. 9-Volt loves Nintendo games, somehow owns every Nintendo system ever released, and makes microgames based on Nintendo's games.

I recall Wikirby having a trivia point that Daroach mentions wanting a Nintendo 3DS in Kirby Mass Attack.

We could also be very boring and say "every game where the amiibo logo appears outside of a menu", which should net a large number of franchises. (Mario because Uncle Amiibo, Yoshi because of the amiibo hut in Yoshi's Woolly World and the amiibo Box costume in Yoshi's Crafted World, Kirby because Kirby's Blowout Blast's plaza has an amiibo branded door, Splatoon because the hub areas contain actual amiibo boxes... I'm not sure if the amiibo Rune counts in Breath of the Wild but I feel like it does.)

I forgot he said this!!! This quote seemed normal to me since I played the game on my 3DS. (I never had a DS.) But it was probably directed to DS players, since the game came out right after the launch of the 3DS.
