kinda weird this thread wasn't created, don't ya think?
no need for explanations, you can post multiple videos if u wanna, yada yada whatever.

this isn't very fitting for me to post this thread because I don't really listen to music myself, but one of my favorite is this theme from SMW

Didn't know it was different in the PAL version.

There's a lot of artists and bands that I really like, so I have multiple favorite songs.

One of the artists I like a lot is Darren Rahn. He does a lot of instrumental cool jazz-funk fusion pieces, centerpiece being his saxophone tunes. Anyone who is a fan of jazz should definitely listen to him. These two are my favorite pieces from him.

Another one I'd like to mention is Breed 77. They're a Gibaltarian band mix flamenco and metal together, creating his unique type of metal music. YouTube surprisingly doesn't have my favorite piece from them, Tomorrow, but there's plenty to choose from as well, such as Blind.

Oh and there's symphonic metal as well. Epica, Krypteria, and Nightwish I listen to very frequently. If you Brawl's Final Destination music, then you'll like symphonic metal. Epica has even done covers for Attack on Titan songs. I can't really pick an Epica song, so here's just The Cosmic Algorithm.

What's really funny to me that the below two songs sound a lot like Mario tunes. The underground tune especially seems to take a bunch from 1970's music, such as Spirit of a New World from Earth Wind & Fire

But this one sounds like the overworld tune from Mario, Gordon Goodwin's Don't Blink (which is also a jazz band btw), so I think that music has a lot of latin influences.

There's more music that I'm missing but if I continue going on with all of my favorite songs it's going to take up a buncha posts.

Have you heard of Tango?

Why yes I have heard of that genre. Very Latin American, like how Samba is Brazilian, Salsa is Cuban, and Mariachi is Mexican.

Sometimes, I get a bit frazzled up between the types of Latin music as they can have similar chords, but can also be very distinct as well if you listen to enough pieces. Some music mixes them all up in a general...style, such as Santa Esmerald's Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. Generally, though not catch-all, I distinguish flamenco if it uses acoustic guitars while mariachi or salsa uses brass. Flamenco also sounds like it fits in an Arabian setting too, likely because it's from Andalusia, the most Muslim part of Spain, and it took influences from gypsy music as well; that's why they made Gerudo Valley take cues from flamenco!

This is Nuevo Tango. It differs from standard Tango by incorporating jazzy instruments like the sax and the bass to create the beauty you're hearing. It's why Piazolla is considered a god around here by lots of people, but not sure if around the world too.

I don't understand what you mean by "Latin American". All of the genres you mentioned differ... like, a lot.

I don't listen to them enough, hahaha, that's why I label 'em in a catch-all term like the music industry and Wikipedia does. Even stuff like the jazz I posted in this thread has a bunch of sub-genres and is likely a member of it, a fusion of jazz and funk and electronic bits.

One of the artists I listen to is Bio Ritmo, which is just about the most Salsa music I can think of

I generally really like the style of music from the Spanish-speaking countries though (in Animal Crossing for example, I like KK Salsa, Tango, Samba, Bossa Nova, Flamenco etc. all of them are great). I don't know why they make such good tunes.

And I notice the word Tango isn't mentioned in that article once. Qué mal, che!

But if Animal Crossing acknowledges it, I wanna hear that.

Do you understand the lyrics of the song you posted? It's pretty nice.

Tango is at least mentioned in the nav template "Music genres in the Hispanosphere", but yeah, article isn't complete obviously as there's a lot of great little genres to cover and I think that would be such a tremendous task to talk about every single one of them. Could use expansion regardless of course.

But if Animal Crossing acknowledges it, I wanna hear that.

Here you go

I don't actually lmao. All I know is that Muchacho means boy, that's it. I don't even know what "Bio Ritmo" means.

For Breed 77 music, they have both English and Spanish versions for some of their songs (their album, Un Encuentro, is pretty much composed of their older songs resung in Spanish, and I thought it was pretty freaking sweet).

If we're going to take the title seriously and post music that we like, then I'm posting this:

I like music like this, in the style of french house and/or electro house. which is a majority of the music Ed Banger publishes (a few other of their artists I like are Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn).

I can't be bothered to post 60 billion songs from video games right now so this is all you're getting.
