post any random Mario thought on your mind

Isn't it called the Wario Bike because it's Wario's Bike? I don't think that it has anything to do with looking like him.

In Double Dash the Wario Car was literally Wario's car, it didn't really look like him either. It's said that the car had to be tuned down to become a viable kart, I guess that the same could be said for the Wario bike?

Still, the odd part of the story is that the Wario Car is a speed focused vehicle, which is not a strong point for the Wario Bike.

Another oddity involves the Offroader, where contrary to its name, its off-road is barely above average, and even when used by Dry Bowser, it can't drift on any kind of normal off-road terrain. In fact, the only large vehicles that can drift on normal off-road are the Phantom and Dry Bowser's Wario Bike.

For the Off-roader, that's where relativity matters. For a large kart, it's Off-Road is one of the stronger Large kart stats.

I wish the clown car was a vehicle we could use. I don't mean like that clown car esque kart from Mario kart DS or anything but the actual clown car. It would just hover above the ground like bowser jr does in smash.

That wouldn't really work with wheel customisation though. But I do want to see the Clown Car in Mario Kart.

We also had the Clown Car from Mario Kart 7, which looked more like the clown car than the Hurricane did. It was pretty cool

They could also use Junior Clown Car from smash and make it a kart, since they gave it it's own wheel mode with exhausts and everything.

The Hurricane is one of my favorite vehicles though :/

Still, the Offroader's off-road stat is not good enough for off-road drifting, which pretty much means that using off-road shortcuts without a mushroom or star is a bad idea.

Just make it a pre-set kart you can't change

Remember though, the karts in MKW were built specifically for certain size groups, whereas the ones from MKDS/8 weren't, so that's not really a fair example.

It should be noted, however, that the body frame sizes of the Mario Kart 8 vehicles are affected by which character is using them.

As shown on the above screenshot, Rosalina's Biddybuggy is bigger than Baby Rosalina's Biddybuggy. You don't get anything like that in Mario Kart DS, where you can see heavy characters using karts that are just too small for them to use.

While the Mushmellow can handle Toad's size, you might as well put it out of its misery if Bowser tries to use it.

Actually i think he also meant the varnish,

Flames are theme for Bowser commonly so it fits better.

Besides , in MKWii at least 1 kart or bike of the limited selection acccording to sizes fits a specific character.

For example the only Kart that completely suits Rosalina in Wii is the Honeycoupe ; It's smaller and elegant while the others are almost like trucks and have very weird and boyish patterns.

The same applies to the Shooting Star , it fits Rosalina the best out of all the large characters. While the Bowser Bike or Wario Bike doesn't suit her at all.

The same happens in MK8 , some kart parts go naturally to the character , some others don't.

But in the end , is up to the players preference. As example above , i believe Rosalina looks a bit ridiculous in the BiddyBuggy , a kart designed thinking about Smaller characters , mostly babies.

For me , the sports Bike and the Circuit special suit her the most , which the game seems to favor as CPU Rosalina can be in those vehicles.

Even "Bowser Bike" is a misnomer for that one bike.

It should be called the "Funky Bike" instead.

Just played MP10 again , and i remembered (again) why i hate the game so much.

I can count how many times i have stayed the entire board , meanwhile i lost count how many times i had to quit.

The game is just bullshit , specially the Bowser Board. Last stretch makes you lose half of the mini stars.

I hope this kind of gameplay , including mini stars NEVER RETURN.

Losing coins , wasn't really that bad as you can earn 10 by minigames and the fact that there was also stars to make the bigger weight into winning was better altogether.

With mini stars , have 90% more chances to lose in the final part of the board , it's so easy to lose them and the CPU cheats so much.

I also hate Bowser Mode , couldnt be more unfair. ''Roll the dice again'' Yeah okay ... not.

Like this game is so badly made , im not able to enjoy it.

newer super mario bros. U is probably the only reason i'll be learning how to mod my wii u

(that, and re-texturing shy guys)

and a question for those who know their modding stuff; i buy games in their disc form, am i still able to mod them?

The one thing that'll still baffle me about Mario Kart 8 is why Rosalina and Waluigi would use the Monster tires while using the Standard Kart or Standard Bike. When you look at Link, the only time he uses the Monster tires is when he uses the Standard ATV.

I guess the main problem about seeing certain characters using the Monster tires all the time is that it can make people think that the characters are heavyweights. Rosalina and Waluigi (along with Link) may be treated as heavy characters in Mario Kart 8, but they're really out of place when compared to the bulkier heavyweights like Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser, Morton, Roy, and Dry Bowser.

Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach have their own weight category (medium-sized heavyweights), so it really baffles me that Rosalina and Waluigi don't have their own weight category (large-sized middleweights). After all, despite of his tall height, Waluigi is a middleweight character in Mario Kart Double Dash!! and Mario Kart DS.

It would be so out of place to have a category specifically for 2 characters.

The sizes of the karts are still accurate , both Tall characters have larger Karts. Nintendo , however , made this more real and gave them a separate stat weight class instead.

it makes more sense for Rosalina to weight less but still having a large kart , because she is bigger in general.

Metal Mario and PGP may have a different weight class but their bodies belong to the medium sized karts.

Unless you want to shrink Rosalina's model to the Size of Princess Peach its just not working.

Rosalina having this characteristic , (being bigger , stronger) is one of the few qualities still consistently portrayed between games , and it would suck to drop it at this point , and with literally no need or reason , kinda like how she lost her signature echo , by no reason or need.

obviously related to Mario. Basically a topic for any random Mario related thing not big enough for its own thread.

It wouldn't matter since you need to dump the game from the Wii U, disk or download doesn't affect that.

also this is probably relevant:

Question, do you know if you'll need a channel similar to Homebrew or Riivolution to play this mod on your Wii U? Or would it be easily accessible through an exploit, like Loadiine for example?
With the current methods known so far, I think it's going to have to be exploit, since no permanent exploit method exists for the Wii U yet.

So how is Newer U going to work with New Super Luigi U, espically since there are multiple ways to get both? (Three different disks, NSMBU, NSLU and NSMBU+NSLU)

Also how is Wii U modding going with PAL consoles?
I believe we're working with New Super Mario Bros. U by itself so it would be optimal if you have just that. I dumped the content of the game and they asked me what type, and I provided the pure New Super Mario Bros. U, which was fine for them. Otherwise, I'm not sure how it'll work with New Super Luigi U in any way.

When I say large-sized middleweights, that basically means that the character's body frame size is large, but is lesser in weight when compared to the other large body frame characters. In other words, Rosalina and Waluigi would still have large body frames, but they would have less weight than someone like Donkey Kong. For a bit of an example on what I mean...

Wario is actually canonically lighter than DK.

Wario weighs 308 pounds (140 kilograms), according to the Wario World instruction manual.

Donkey Kong weighs 800 pounds (363 kilograms) according to Microbuffer (the announcer in the final boss battle against K. Rool) in Donkey Kong 64.
