For those of you of that read this month's edition of TV Tomorrow, you'll remember I announced that Program of the Month is evolving!

Introducing Viewer's Choice!

I want to hear from you: the viewers of television and readers of The Shroom, about what you think should be Program of the Month!

Every other month, I'll give you a theme and you will recommend shows or movies based around it found in the Mario world that you think deserves to be recognized!

The program must be fictional in nature - Since TV Tomorrow is a section highlighting fictional television programs, submissions cannot be an actual TV show or movie.

Programs must be Mario-related or Mario-adjacent - TV Tomorrow is mainly based around Mushroom Kingdom and Mario world programs, submissions featuring characters that have not interacted with Mario at all will not be featured. If you wish to have a submission based off of Smash Bros. or the crossover characters in Mario Kart, it will be allowed, but only if the program features a Mario character or concept as a main focus.

Keep submissions family-friendly - Submissions may not feature excessive details of swearing, violence, or anything that would get you banned on the forums or wiki within their descriptions.

Submissions - I will select submissions based upon what I think would be best to showcase for the readers. If your submission is not picked for the month, it's alright. You can always put up another the next time Viewer's Choice occurs, but do not be upset if you're not picked. Submissions are limited to two per user. This resets upon the next Viewer's Choice.

Submission Requirements
If you wish to submit a submission for Viewer's Choice, include the following:
*An image (at not too large of a size to help with readability and loading)
*The title of your program, the network and time it airs, and the genre
*A description about the program and the content within
*A short blurb on why you like the program and if you recommend it.

Submissions may either be posted in this thread or via forum PMs.

Now, for Issue 231's Viewer's Choice, the theme will be:

SUMMER

Since June is the start of summer, which summer programming will you be watching? Something to beat the heat? A show about the Angry Sun? Best Isle Delfino beaches? The possibilities are endless!

Submissions for this theme end on (a week before The Shroom releases)

I look forward to seeing your submissions, viewers!

Show: Cosmic Cove Chilling
Network: Outer Space Station @8:00 PM
Genre: Relaxation/Zen

Join the friendly penguins and their coach as they peacefully swim around the breathtaking Cosmic Cove Galaxy! Cosmic Cove Chilling does not feature exciting adventures but rather the observation of several penguins inhabiting the large planet like they're living a normal life. It's accompanied by calm, peaceful music that'll help you fall asleep if you need rest. This program also serves as a screensaver and is just nice to have playing in the background in general. You may even pick up a few swimming tricks from the penguins featured!

Why did I recommend this?

While not the first thing you think of when you hear "Summer", I decided to recommend "Cosmic Cove Chilling" as a way to "cool off" when the Sun is setting. Cosmic Cove Galaxy's beautiful "Sky" background will pair well with the sky in the real world when the show comes on (8:00 PM means a Twilight sky with beautiful colors). It's a nice, relaxing show that's also perfect for the evening. Swimming is typically associated with Summer, and Cosmic Cove Galaxy is a beach, so I think it fits. Think of this as a nature documentary, seeing penguins in their (un)natural habitat!

Show: The vibrant life of the Volcano Lotus
Network: MKTV @10:35 PM
Genre: Nature Documentary

Within the Lush Vibrant jungles of Yoshis Island, this seemingly innocent plant has to deal with a multitude of dangers each day, but how can such an plant survive in a primeval place? Join Mr E as he takes you through a journey to uncover the secrets of success this plant holds, later today at 10:35Pm on MKTV.

Why did I recommend this?

When thinking about summer my first thought was heat, so many warm or magma themed locations would be perfect for a summer section, but the more I thought about it the more I begain to think, is there possibly a creature thats related to fire or heat but seems like it shouldnt? as thus the Volcano Lotus came into the picture!

Show: The New adventures of Dirk Drainhead
Network: MKTV 16:00
Genre: Superhero/sitcom

With all these new reboots, of course Dirk Drainhead's getting one. Following the adventures of the titular plumber/costumed defender, this new show is unique for also focusing on life outside of fighting bad guys, as Dirk still has to pay the bills, even as a superhero. This weeks episode has Dirk in court after being accused of theft.
