Here's where to suggest any ideas for awards, nominees, tournaments, etc. Basically if you have an idea and it has anything to do with the awards ceremony or related processes, feel free to post it and we'll have a look at it and consider it and all that good stuff!

This one might seem strange and or out of the ordinary, but since the creation of this character, it in turn, has inspired heaps of characters, storys, art and passion from all who have collaborated on these storys and as such, is one of the founding characters who make this the boards special, and so in celebration of his 1 year anniversary I recommend you do The BEST Shmaluigi storys/storylines.

We'll take a note down and pass it along to the Awards Committee when things get underway! Thank you for your suggestion.

Shmaluigi, Private Investigator is one of the most collaboration-heavy 'Shroom sections we have, and that it has offered plenty of inspiration for new characters and stories is not something I would deny.

While that's certainly worth celebration in some form, my preliminary, personal thoughts are that an Awards category isn't the best way to celebrate it. While Waluigi Time has been proactive in inviting others to collab with him, its structure isn't as widely open as, say, a Scribble event or game. Participation is necessarily more curated, and ultimate authority over what gets published is still reserved to Waluigi Time (as opposed to large games, which give players a looser framework and greater room to shape the story).

Plus, there are numerous great 'Shroom sections with long histories. As nice as it would to give them each an individual celebration, that'd take a really stretched ceremony.

Alright I got a BIG one but I think its doable
Best Mario Series Amiibo
Now this WOULD come with some caveats since this list would ONLY include the Super Mario Amiibo Line, the Yoshi's Woolly World Amiibo, The DK Bonanza Amiibo and the 30th Aniversary Amiibo, Now note I did NOT say the Smash bros Amiibo or the smash bros varyations of mario characters, smash is its own series and since we are only focusing on mario characters it would be too much to have the smash stuff included, alongside this pallet swap Amiibo like the Gold/Silver Mario, the 30th Classic/Color Mario and the Blue/Green/Pink Yarn Yoshis will be combined into one option since besides there colors there's no varyations in game play between the two.
As such if you where to do this one you would have
31 Amiibo to vote for if you do decide to got for this hope this helps!

we brought this one up last year's awards when we weren't even on the committee, and we haven't let go of it!
The Guilty Pleasure Award
stuff that you feel is low-quality, but still find entertaining for one reason or another.

probably a part of the Fail awards, but very distinctly positive for that section's standards. we think this one could potentially be a fun inclusion, but we do wonder if we might need to divvy it up into two awards, one for games and one for multimedia? maybe for this year though we can just do one, and if it turns out to be that big of a deal, future awards could have two separate awards for Guilty Pleasure Game and Guilty Pleasure Multimedia.

obvious candidates include, but we imagine could be expanded upon:
  • Hotel Mario
  • DiC's Super Mario cartoons (The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World) (should these be all one entry, or separate?)
  • Super Mario Bros. (1993 live-action film)
  • Super Mario Bros. Special
