The Yoshi Theory

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

Isn't a variant another version of something that already exist, like a Koopa and a ParaKoopa

[Mightheight]

Then how is it possible for a Fungus to be related to a space octopus

no

[Mightheight]

Isn't a variant another version of something that already exist, like a Koopa and a ParaKoopa

yeah

[Mightheight]

but

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

I'm not trying to say Yoshi IS a Koopa, I'm saying that he has some relation to them more than he does a regular dinosaur

[Super Jack Sunshine]

I'm not trying to say Yoshi IS a Koopa, I'm saying that he has some relation to them more than he does a regular dinosaur

He has relation, but he is a dinosaur. Dinosaurs are not turtles.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

I'm not saying Dinosaurs are turtles, I'm saying Yoshi is a hybrid

[Super Jack Sunshine]

I'm not saying Dinosaurs are turtles, I'm saying Yoshi is a hybrid

Yoshi is not a hybrid. Yoshis hatch from Yoshi Eggs, laid by Yoshis.

[Mightheight]

I agree but like dino are ancestors of all reptiles, even the wiki says Koopas and Yoshis are related

[Super Jack Sunshine]

Dinosaurs are not ancestors of all reptiles in Mario. Dinosaurs are alive in Mario.

[Mightheight]

I'm not saying Dinosaurs are turtles, I'm saying Yoshi is a hybrid

MatPat knew that before you did

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

There the ancestors of most of them, not all

[Super Jack Sunshine]

There the ancestors of most of them, not all

They aren't ancestors at all in Mario. They are consistently shown to be living still.

[Mightheight]

b r o

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

Didn't you say there's not Canon to Mario

They aren't ancestors at all in Mario. They are consistently shown to be living still.

[Super Jack Sunshine]

Didn't you say there's not Canon to Mario

There is no canon. That doesn't mean they aren't shown to be alive.
Arguing for ancestry is incorrect since there is no canon.

Kamek also does not consider Yoshis to be Koopas in SMW2, just wanted to mention.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

So if it ain't canon, then literally everything we say doesn't matter in the slightest

[Super Jack Sunshine]

So if it ain't canon, then literally everything we say doesn't matter in the slightest

Kinda.

But, if you are going to talk Mario biology, Yoshis lay eggs on their own, which hatch into more Yoshis. That makes it impossible for Yoshi to be a hybrid.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

Ok, so this entire conversation is pointless and meaningless
There's no "Timeline"
No connection between the Original Mario games
None of that?

"continuity" and "canon" are different. Games can retain information, elements, and "lore" from prior games. However, everything can be changed, making a "canon" impossible.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

I didn't know that, thanks for telling me
But what about a Non-Canon game like Hotel Mario?

[Super Jack Sunshine]

Hotel Mario is very inconsistent with details from prior games.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

What about Sparks of Hope

[Super Jack Sunshine]

What about Sparks of Hope

Sparks of Hope has continuity with Kingdom Battle.

[BuzzyBeetleLover]

So your saying it could be connected?
