Toad is an underrated character that deserves more love than people give him credit for.

Toad is one of the most underrated characters in the Mario universe. It's kinda sad that there are people that just hate the Toad character in general for muddy reasons. Toad is a small cute mushroom guy with a heart of gold that does anything to help mario and his friends. He is timid, but not fully a coward, he is just like Luigi and like Luigi, he shows up when it counts.
He's been there since the beginning, helping, hosting, adventuring. He's the guy who'll carry the team on his tiny shoulders if he has to. He's not useless—he's essential. Toad often gets ignored, memed, or dismissed — like Waluigi, but worse. Yoshi gets love for being cute and helpful. Why not Toad? He's just as loyal, Just as iconic, Just as brave. Toad represents the quiet kind of courage — the kind that doesn't need a spotlight. He's the friend who's always there, even when no one's cheering. That kind of character deserves respect. So here's to Toad—the mushroom with a heart of gold. May people start seeing past the stereotypes and recognize the hero he's always been since Super Mario Bros. 2.

I've always wanted this dude playable in Smash and I think he's very long overdue for that.

Toad is a legend. Without Toad or the Toad species, we would never get characters like: Blue Toad, Toadsworth, Toadette, Captain Toad and the Toad brigade. And all the other wacky toads from the RPGs. I even made my username after my favorite toad, Hint Toad!

I actually see Toad and Captain Toad as the same character, which makes Toad more awsome to me. But yeah, I totally get the love for all the different Toads.

That's definitely how he's portrayed in the Mario movie, which I thought was a good move. But I didn't really like the combination of Hint Toad and Toadsworth.

The movie is my favorite spot on for the portayal of Toad. If you refer the combination as Toad general, I believe he was actually intended to parallel the Koopa General, representing a counterpart from their respective species as generals.

Interesting... I've never thought about that. I guess that makes sense since they're both blue.

I think Toad is a good character and deserves another game of his own. I respect him despite being a Luigi fan. :toad:
