Mushroom Kingdom Comics! and other art by Hint Toad

Here's mostly all the art I made for the Randomizer Killing Game I was apart of. I only survived one night, but I had lots of fun role playing and causing havoc through out the night! Sparks as Ange Lackey ended up killing me in the second round so I didn't get the chance to finish my side story of finding Power Moons. You can see a very familiar looking painting in the picture of Hint Toad's suite.

I also made a special comic for when I died.

I opened the 'Shroom and read my comic and...... there was a spelling error I forgot to fix. So here's a fixed version:

Iv'e finally settled on my preferred medium for drawing these comics. The first two comics were drawn with a pencil so they had to be heavily touched up on my computer. The third and fourth comics were drawn with a Micron pen but I didn't like the thickness, so I used a thinner micron pen on this one.

I can't wait for the next issue!! I had a space themed comic prepared for the April 2026 'Shroom issue, so I thought I might insert that one to this next coming issue as a bonus comic.

Merry Christmas everyone! In the latest 'Shroom issue Super Koopa makes his return from Issue #2! And what's this!? A bonus comic!? The bonus comic here is inspired by a YouTube video I watched explaining the gravity physics in Super Mario Galaxy. I thought it would be funny for Rosalina to have god-like knowledge about the game's code.

I've been using a Micron felt pen to draw my Mario comics for the 'Shroom and have been itching to try out my dip pen. So here's a test run of some Mario characters. I think they turned out nice!
Below we have Stingby, Para-biddybud, Piranha Plant, Hint Toad, Uncle Amiibo and Luma.

I'm very comfortable with this pen. I've been using it for like 2-3 years with my other comic strip. The lines are cleaner than the Micron felt pen, and it gives me more range with the thickness. (You can compare the Luma with the comic above.)

What do you guys think? Should I start using this pen for my 'Shroom section?

Side note: Updated my Stingby design from this post. I can't believe I left out his big eyes!

I think both are great but if you feel more comfortable using this pen then go for it!
Drawing with my dip pen is a whole ordeal. You gotta draw on thick paper so that it doesn't bleed and you have to constantly dip the nib in an ink bottle. With the felt pen I can just straight up draw in my sketch book. So it's basically a trade off of cleaner art verses quicker methods. The style of my 'Shroom section comics have a slightly messy look anyway. (Wavy panels, water-color style coloring). Which I thought the Micron felt pen would be perfect for. So I dunno. I'll try a messy-style comic with my dip pen to see how it looks.

Issue #7 – January 2026
I'm excited to have started my first year writing for the 'Shroom! This month's comic is inspired by Super Mario Bros. 2 and features Blue Toad and Phantos! I tried to capture my frustration of being stuck at this section of the game, and then remembering about the crouch jump.

2025 Wrap-Up!

Now I'd like to share some art from this past year that have not yet been posted in this thread. So enjoy!

The Randomizer Killing game finale was a success! Even though I died in night 2, My trusty companion Uncle Amiibo survived 'till the end thanks to @Cloudwalker for drawing that ability. So I made a comic to finish up the story.

Here's an art piece of everyone in the Randomizer Killing Game in Paper Mario style. It's a reference to Bobby from Paper Mario: Origami King. If you know, you know. Sadly, I didn't save the file that had all the layers in it. It would have been a pain to recreate it so I update it for every time someone had died.

A few more characters I did in Paper Mario style:

I had fun handing out Scripulous Fingores to people who found all the ghosts in the ghost scavenger hunt! Here's all the ones I drew. Can you guess who got them?

Boy is it hard to draw hands!

On the subject of the scavenger hunt, when I submitted my ghost I sent a picture with it. It's a Hint Toad version of Mummy-Me from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker! It wasn't one of the ghosts you could choose from so thanks @Commander Nebula (WT) for letting me do that!

Now for @Boo1268's D&D-type game, my first game I was apart of on this forum! Made some pictures of my OC, Blobby the Blobs!
Here's all the variations of him I made:

And last but not least, an animated sprite of Nachi (@Cloudwalker's OC)

That's a wrap for 2025! What do you guys wanna see in Mushroom Kingdom Comics this year?
