The 2nd console game in the modern Mario sports line, Mario Tennis 64 was the debut of Waluigi. You can play as all your favourite Mario family characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Bowser, DK, Boo, Koopa Paratroopa, Shy Guy, and more!

Players play through three world open tournaments,
The Mushroom Cup (held on the Hard Court)
The Flower Cup (held on the Clay Court)
The Star Cup (held on the Grass Court)

After beating the three tournaments with all 16 characters in singles and doubles, players unlock three new cups.
The Rainbow Cup (held on the Hard Court)
The Moonlight Cup (held on the Clay Court)
The Planet Cup (held on the Grass Court)

Through other criteria, and transfering data to Mario Tennis on the GBC, players can unlock new courts to play on.

Actually, you have to beat all three tournaments in both Singles and Doubles. It is incredibly tedious, but at least now I have the satisfaction of opening new tournaments I also have to clear on Singles and Doubles with every character at a much higher difficulty.

The worst part about the Doubles is that you can't even choose your doubles partner. Mario+Luigi is good, but Baby Mario+DK!? AGHGHGHGGHGH stupid ape.
