7-15
On most days,
I will reach out to Sister Water,
and I will ask her,
"Please bring me to an under
standing...
Who am I, without Her,
without All?"
On most days,
she will run her silky hand down my side,
nuzzle her chin into my burdened shoulder,
and reply
(with her whispered sweet nothings of)
"Fret not, Love,
love will find you soon -
and the Wondrous Sea you actively wander
will reflect your
True Self
sooner than you'll know."
On most days,
my hand will fitfully lift to cradle her own,
and longingly continue I,
"Sweet Sister, pray tell,
when will I be certain
that my True Self is
true after all?"
On most days,
her lush lips will peck my cheek
as she falls into lustrous silence.
Then,
the two of us will
linger,
wordlessly loving... but while I take comfort,
my understanding
fails me further.
Today,
I reached for my Sister Water once more,
and while I asked and met her body,
she gave me
no response
at all,
opting to silently twirl my hair instead.
I wonder now
if my True Self is already reflecting,
or if my Reflection
was always a lie.
Someday,
I will teach Sister Water
to swing or waltz, and maybe then
I will finally
fruitfully
understand.
