I hope Ultra Beasts are lengendaries because now only Solgaleo, Lunala and that last Pokémon (by the way it looks like a lame 600 BST legendary) seem to be ones.

I will take Primarina, but I hope its signature move actually has an effect like double power when opponent in burned, as removing a burn is usually bad. Plus it's a water move, so its requires to use two Water moves to use this new one at its "full potential".

edit: Why is Primarina's "unique move" such fucking garbage though. Heal an opponent's burn? Why thanks, let me just do that! You can't use it on a teammate because it actually causes damage. May as well have just giving her self-destruct.

IIRC, the leaks found data on four moves left in the game, and people believed they were each the starter's signature moves, so it's possible we could get a second signature move for each.

Laser Focus - next move is a guaranteed Critical Hit
Throat Chop - when hit with this move, pokemon cannot use sound-based attacks for 2 turns
Aurora Veil - like reflect and light screen as one move

clearly, if Primarina gets Aurora Veil exclusively it'll be great

Welp now that the starter's final evolution types have been revealed, I guess my team is set following the leaks:

Decidueye (Grass/Ghost)
Wishiwashi (Water)
Wimpod's evo (please be Bug/Water)
Kommo-o (Dragon/Fighting)
Oranguru (Normal/Psychic)
Lunaala (Psychic/Ghost) - replace for Silvally post-game since it doesn't look like any of the islands will allow you to get a type:null. sad because silvally is literally my no 1. favourite pokemon this gen

assuming that pokedex order leak is right that shows what pokemon are on what islands, T:N and Silvally are straight in the middle of the island two and island three pokemon so it's possible you might get it as a gift pokemon mid-game, or it's treated like a legendary/ultra beast and doesn't show up in an island dex because it's like a one-time catch thing.

Though to be fair, Zygarde is also in that spot between those two islands so who knows.

this is the first gen in a long time where i like all of the final evolutions and their typings, it's nice. think i'm still going to be getting rowlet but i plan on breeding it + trading for the other two, ideally

So happy Rowlet turns into Grass/Ghost because I wanted a Minior on my team, and wasn't sure on having two Flying types. Nickname will be Robin Hoot.

I was hoping that Incineroar would be based on a sabertoothed tiger, but I'm happy how it turned out.

Healing a burn could take away a Pokemon's ability like Guts or Quick Feet

That's way to situational to be useful.

Unless those are really common and/or popular abilities idk competitive pokemon.
