i can't say i have an opinion on Lily pad ride since i haven't figured out how to get there

you have to ride them.... its very boring and requires a lot of patience but thats how its done

just follow them lol there is a water way in the hub world, just follow the boats until you find one of them passing, and jump on them.

It's not hard.
 
It will also require Yoshi in order to open the way (Since it has that weird goop that only Yoshi's juice spit can get rid of)

That is unless you already got the tube opened but if you did you would of likely played the level already.

there are two boats iirc, one that goes a bit way into the town, then comes a good chunk into the ocean, where another boat will pass by it, jump on that one, and it will take you pretty close to the island where the pipe is.
 
ok i will do that in like weeks when i have a chance to
 
the poison lily pad shine is just as much of a pain to get to as it is to do the mission itself
