what would you like for the next mario 3d game

Id like for them to keep doing the Super Mario 3D games (land, world, etc) but also have other 3D games that balance the linearity of those games with the open world style of 64 and sunshine

As someone who finds merit in both styles I'd be fine with that.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
 
I want a Mario game in the style of 64, Sunshine and the Galaxy games. That is to say, big open worlds, with stars/shines to get. And not a go to the flagpole, in 3D Land/World I feel like most of the levels are dull because of that.
A Galaxy 3 would be the best.

Playable Yoshi without Mario riding him like in 64DS.

Peach not getting kidnapped and being playable like 3D World.

Wario as the villain or a boss.

Playable Donkey Kong.

No Bowser other than a cameo at the end to foreshadow a future Mario game or a mention by name.

watch you ditch him when you get a star or something and be there in only 5 levels out of 60
 
This is MY wishlist:

1.Mario in Dinosaur Land(working title):

Open World like Galaxy,Sunshine,and Super Mario 64.

The return of Yoshi along with his classic design with some adjustments such as color and abilities.
Baby Yoshis can appear along with Rexes,Reznors,Dino-Torch, Dorrie,dolphins,and Plessie.

Peach,Toad,and Luigi are playable.

Has a dinosaur theme and includes “ancient animals”
Kamek is the main antagonist and Bowser is the secondary.

2.Mario Dream Land:

Has the return of King Wart(if Treasure Tracker is not)and his minions.

Open World.

Mario,Peach,Luigi,and Toad are playable along with a unlockable character.

Yoshi(s) or baby Yoshis can appear in it.

Goomba Shoe.

King Wart uses Dream Warping.

3.Mario Galaxy 3:

Yes story

Tatanga is the main antagonist and can team up with Bowser(No Antasma-Back-Stabbing).

Peach,Luigi,and Mario are playable.

Yoshis and Baby Yoshis can appear.

Rosalina will have a rivality with Tatanga.

4.Mario and Luigi: Dream Team 2(working title):

Antasma and Wart team up and use a device to suck the Mario brothers,Peach,and Bowser to a dream world.

Wart does not back-stab Antasma nor Antasma to Wart.

Bowser and Peach playable.

5.A Luigi game that features Daisy,Waluigi,and Tatanga.

Either as linear or Open World.

I wish those existed... :]

I'm not talking about select this option and go to a world thats explorable.

No, a fully explorable world, think like the elder scrolls games, but instead of a rpg, its more like an open platforming game.

Of course i think there would be some new stuff such as learning new abilities for normal mario and various powerups as well, and a multitude of stories for the various areas of the game.

how about making mario a sandbox game?
