Hardest games you ever played and ragequit.

Lord of the Rings the Third Age

Took me a few tries to beat the Grima Wormtounge boss then when I did there was no save point after the boss and my party were all low on health. While searching for a save point I was ambushed by Wargs and got a game over. So annoyed that I have to try and beat that boss again I ragequit. Though the game itself isn't really that hard just unfair due to enemies nearly always getting critical hits and most of your attacks missing even on the weak enemies.

That's the only game that really comes to mind. I'm stuck on quite a few games but I haven't ragequit I just haven't tried to get past the bits I'm stuck on again yet.

Don't mind me, just gonna steal that team with Luigi. Do up you ever do that glitch with Boo or jump over the goalkeeper with Toad or etc.?
That's not a glitch, it's a genuine mechanic.

When will people learn that exploit =\= glitch?

Usually when I come across some part in a game that I cannot complete after a generous amount of tries, it has to be a pretty amazing game and have hooked me by this point, otherwise I abandon it and do something else with my time. Like, I've never really defined my ego through achievements in video games, so uncompleted challenges have no pull on me.

I remember playing VVVVVV once. Cute game, was kind of nice while it lasted, but I reached some sort of bullshit level where I had to escort some other guy with horribly delayed controls, he died a lot, and nope, that's it. Done. Next game please.

I've cleared the main story of VVVVVV once, but most of those fan-made levels are a whole new level of bullshit; abandoned like a quarter of them because they're so cheap. I managed to clear a few rooms in one after not touching it for half a year, but then reached another room which required near-perfect timing to get past and went 'fuck this, I'm done' and haven't played it since.

Nicalis sure has a fetish for cheap death-inducing gameplay; I'm really looking forward to getting 1001 Spikes, despite the insurmountable rage I'll inevitably experience when playing it.

Super Mario Strikers Charged

Oh bleep that difficulty spike

I remember my twin beating Strikers cup with no losses. Don't ask me how....other than that 60 minute match she played while we were trying to find a way to beat that godforsaken cup with cheats on >~>

And no she didn't beat it with cheats. The 60 minute matches gave her a TON of practice
I whooped that Petey *bleep*'s ass with this team

Mario
Boo
Toad
Dry Bones

Best of 3
1. 2-3 (me)
2. 5(me)-0

I do mostly the Boo teleportation-through goalie thing, but I do the occasional goalie flip. I also got a hell lot of practice blocking orange mega strikers. The biggest problem Petey's team had was me praying the white ball didn't go in. Otherwise, Petey can't really do anything about that. Dry Bones is there because it's fast and it tackles hard. Meanwhile, Mario is there because I like him.
