Anyone here knows how to make sprites?

i never really know how to make sprites, I just do it

i mainly use paint, there's this recolouring technique I use which is basically cutting and pasting the whole sheet with different background colours and transparent selection

custom sprites are just the result of me merging sprites together and copying the art style
 
You can just use existing sprites on the internet, just give credit to whoever made them.

I'm looking to create a comic as well, but I don't know what software to use for it.
 
You can practice using good ol' MS Paint and observing and studying other sprites, especially the official ones by Nintendo or something.

That's how I've made sprites, although they aren't best, and it's been years since I last made sprites.
 
I want to do artworks of my Bob-omb and Unikitty form. Bob-omb I'm okay with but Unikitty I will need help with. Unikitty sprite sheets?
 
all i know is how to recolor previously existing sprites. if you want a unikitty sprite, that's probably going to be a custom job which means creating an entirely unique sprite
