I'd bet Ridley Scott will bring SMG to a whole new level with the movie and oh boy will it be frightening than the games especially the first Mario Galaxy.
 
Whoever this guy is, don't get mad if he is this famous guy, but has he ever played a Mario game and does he know what Super Mario galaxy is?? It's probably best to know that if you do a movie on it. I don't really know how this could become a movie, half of it would be exploring galaxies.

Also on the Super Paper Mario page on the wiki, there was a but of information about an idea to make Super Paper Mario a movie or something like that. I wonder how Mcmadness feels about that... Just thought I would say it since we are on the topic of a Mario movie.
 
I think having a Super Mario Galaxy movie would be awesome.

On topic, I don't think Ridley Scott is a great choice for a Mario movie, maybe someone who's been in the gaming industry like Spielberg or The Wachowskis
 
I know that sometimes SMG1 can really scare the shit out of a lot of people. I mean the only part that scares the shit out of me is when Peach's castle gets lifted and oh boy I think this why it makes me think that there should be a SMG movie made by Ridley Scott. I mean I'd bet the Contra series does have a lot of Sci-Fi elements that may scare some people. I mean in the first Contra's last stage there were these Aliens and that one heart as a last boss and that was scary for some. I mean there is even Contra III:The Alien Wars in some parts where some people may get frightened.
