Annoying computer ads

I'm pretty sure plenty of people have seen those ads that say, "This is not fake! You are the [insert high number here]th visitor!" And then a poor gullible person (such as me at a younger age) finds out it's a lie. And then there are those pretend games that want you to shoot something ("Shoot the watermelon and win a free [insert popular product here]") and when you click it does not get shoot. And you do have to pay for the popular product. UUUUGGH
What ads are annoying to you?

There's always Ad Blocker. That's what I've been using for at least a year now-probably even for two years now.

Not many. Thanks Ad Blocker Plus!

NoScript and Ad Blocker Plus basically eliminates all of those damn ads

A lot of websites, such as this one, get their funding through advertisements, and if those ads are blocked by their users then it can cut into profits. Due to this, I try to limit which sites I block ads on, only doing so if they're way too flashy or dumb or just seem really sketchy.

I've seen ads for vibrators and other sorts of sexual things on here before, but I think that's silly and not really anything malicious enough to warrant me blocking ads on this site.

I barely even notice ads nowadays. I'm not interested in them, so I just block them out and/or ignore them.

I've been told on this site that young men are looking for cougars like me.

As a gay man with obscure interests I'm pretty sure all of these vanilla hetero porn sites and female personal fun toys are not the result of direct searches, but probably me having typed in "girl" at some point into google and the google ads bot being like "GIRL, YOU SAID GIRL, WANNA SEE TITTIES AND PORN YEAH HERE YA GO, GET FUCKED".

I have seen quite a few ads for RuPaul's Drag Race as the ad banner here though so at least that bit is true.

I just use ad-block for most sites.

Not my problem if sites don't get funding, if you're a website that has like 5 goddamn ads on the page + one of those pop up on the page ads, then you can fuck right off.

Those are seriously still around?

My exact thoughts.

If I really like the site, though, I'll probably put on the effort to disable it on that one, but it's very rare.

yeah new window pop-ups are absolutely the worst of the worst. ---ing hate them

My god, what's seen cannot be unseen, so stuff like

Makes me wanna put up adblocker as much as I can.

I'm hesitant to disable adblocker now.

Well Google ads are dependent on the individual so you're unlikely gonna come across ads for that ---- or stuff like that

if i'm using the family computer, any ads that are suggestive or just outright sexual annoy the fuck out of me since I almost get asked about it later and I have to repeatedly explain that it's stupid ads and that i'm not deliberately looking for sexual stuff online

That program is so flawed that way.

i'm starting to tire of those vaguely meideval (sp?) softcore porn games being advertised

cracked did a review of the roman orgy one, though

it was pretty hilarious

There was a time when YouTube wouldn't load correctly after an add played, and so I'd refresh it and it'd work. Well, there was this Comcast add, and afterwards, when I refreshed the page, it popped up again. Tried again, same results. I tried ten times and it wouldn't work. Thanks, Comcast. =-=

When you go to download freeware, and in the installation window it says something like "We recommend you install this toolbar/adware/spyware" and the box is already checked, so you have to uncheck it before hitting next.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? God, I hate that bullshit. Worse part is it's all over the place. I got a new computer, and was updating Java, and my god, they tried to pull that shit. I couldn't believe it.

yeah, everything seems to be trying to make me download chrome and ugh

not even smash bros. wanted chrome or whatever his name is

I freaking hate this too. I guess they really want you to actually read what you're doing and if you do, you're just downloading useless crap on your computer >______________>
