Well, this is the next NA splatfest: Cars vs. Planes. Yeah.............

Cars are definitely going to steamroll planes, and I'm heavily debating going to cars for that reason even though Marie is superior sister.
 
i was going to do planes because cars makes me think of lightning mcqueen but planes makes me think of the planes movies and that's even worse
 
i actually hate sitting in cars but planes make my ears hurt so i have no idea which i like better

i'll probably go planes
 
Personally, I find this game along with the Splatfests to be kinda, meh. I don't see much incentive to participate in Splatfests yet along the online mode. All you can unlock is clothing and weapons through regular gameplay, and Splatfests only give you superseasnails, which I don't really find that much of a priority to have. And, they are always the same, just with different stuff to vote on. I wish there were more unlockables that would make you want to play more, as well as added to the game's unique world and setting. Don't get me wrong though, Splatoon's gameplay is unique and fun, and I can understand why people like to play it. It's just I simply don't enjoy playing only for ranks, levels ups and clothing.
 
so i cleared mission mode today

gotta say I loved every bit of it: the octolings, the sunken scrolls (deepest lore), the whole lot was amazing. the boss battles were a little easy (aside from the last boss), but each design was unique and i loved battling each one.

i've also decided that i'm going to stick with rollers, splatters, and sloshers for now. splatting guns are too clunky and slow for me, I really suck with aiming chargers and paintbrushes are terrible

i've been using the japanese version for a while now but it's nice to have an english one

unfortunately it's under maintenance at the moment

And not even a week after it's English release and it's been overtaken by Octolings in the background, probably due to Japan's next splatfest, Squid vs. Octopus.

This is actually kind of neat, now I can see whether Splat Zones will show up any time soon.

I have finally gotten B rank in Ranked Battle! It was really intense, but I managed to snag 9 victories in a row with a Luna Blaster in Tower Control (maps were Arowana Mall and Blackbelly Skatepark). There were twice I got 2 points away from demotion to C+, but Lady Luck must be on my side since I managed to stay in B- rank until I got promoted.

Initially I used Inkbrush Nouveau, but I felt that it's not so useful here due to its range, so I switched to a more offensive weapon. I wanted a weapon with Ink Mine, which was why I used weapons with this Sub.

I fear that B rank matches will get too intense for me...

And if they are, then we're not getting it for at least a week; Splatoon's official Tumblr confirmed that the only things coming tonight/tomorrow morning are the Custom Range Blaster (Meh) and the Custom E-Liter 3k Scope (Cirdec is probably pleased about this).
