Character Name: Pac Man

Reasons why people think this character won't make it in:
Just because Namco is helping in Smash Bros doesn't mean he'll be in it.

Rebuttals/Opposite Argument to the reasons above:
True, but what if he is. What does anyone have against Pac-Man one of the most famous games in history? Plus he won't be a clone of anyone. Not that I know of because theres no character that actually has his design and or move set.
One thing I'm concerned about PacMan is his several redesigns in both appearance and story canon. Especially in KartGPDX we can see he's using the newest appearance from recent TV show, while some old characters like his wife(?) don't seem to be in any newer PacMan creations. In some aspects, he's not the "classic" character as Nanmco define.

Not sure how Sonic Boom would be, but it seems like a one-time project since the SSB4 would still use the original Sonic design.

I'm starting to think I should make my own version of the form even if Lolcrawler already did one with the Mii to illustrate the point on why I think Miis are practically inevitable at this point. Not that I'd be upset that they aren't. But those who REALLY don't want them, like to the point of boycotting the game if they're included (Yes people like that exist) should grow up and expect the Miis to get in at this point. It's getting to the point where people's childish behavior regarding the idea of Miis being playable is actually making me leaning toward supporting them.
I'm so so sorry about the Gender thing :-\

I think that it would be advisable for you to create another form. There should be a separate form for editing someone Else's case for a character, such as my, which is a such a malleable and different individual character that has many possibilities

Actually I'll make a new rule which I'll post here but I'll also copy and paste onto the original post.

9. If there's a character you support that's already been put up. You can put up your own form if you feel they didn't explain your side enough, and it won't take away from your own character choice if you do so. (In other words, you can make more then one form other then the character you nominated as long as someone else nominated it)

I may put up an example by showing what I meant by when I said Lolcrawler's case for Miis could be much stronger then it was (I hope you don't take offense to that). I'm not the hugest supporter of the Miis, as I could shrug it off if they aren't in. But there's a pretty strong case for them, plus I want to give an example of a well-researched form.

No offense taken. I suggested Mii that way because I thought that, while it wasn't the strongest of arguments, I 'd like to see it like that, because I would like the customizable factor. Also, you could have different reasons for wanting Mii in then I do. So I take no offense, and would actually like a different argument for Mii. Would make things interesting

Can I drop K. Rool? The debating is so unanimously for it that I would like suggest something more controversial. If so:

Ghor for SSB4
Series: Metroid
First Appearance: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Reasons why people do not want him:
He is hardly relevant to the series

Reasons why I do want him:
Interesting Character
Good Moveset

My Moveset:
Special: Plasma Beam
Up Special: Changes into a robot with jet boosters
Side special: Turns arm into some sort of glowing sword and slashes
Down Special: Fires missiles down on the ground around him
Regular Attacks: Miscellaneous punches and kicks using his ability
Up Smash: Holds up a charging plasma beam which hurts opponents
Side Smash: Fires missile diagonally down
Down Smash: unleashing a large cylindrical laser that he sweeps in a wide arc
Final Smash:
This: (The giant thing)
Gohr2.jpg

Opening Statement: Though he is not particularly well known, or important, I believe he could be an interesting character to bring back, and he has a lot of potential as a brawler.

The problem with Ghor is he's outclassed by other Metroid possibilities. Especially Ridley. Even if it's not Ridley. There's also Dark Samus, the other Prime hunters, and (arguably) Anthony Higgs all are competition for another Metroid spot if Ridley can't be there.

On a side not I'll be working on the Mii thing I said would do. I cover what the majority of the reasons people say that Mii shouldn't be playable that I found on Smashboards. And I'll give an answer to every one of them. Miis are one of the most controversial potential characters because it seems most Smash speculators don't want them, but the sensible ones know they have a great chance. Even as someone who would not be upset if Miis aren't playable, I want to illustrate clearly why they're so inevitable.

Problems:
Size (Ridley issue)
Lack of Fame (huge issue)
Not enough background
And as Verve said outclassed by other, more interesting possibilities

Ghor could have a more interesting moveset than almost any other Metroid character.
@ Lolcrawler if you read about Ghor he has a good background, and is very interesting.

But ghor much less well known, in much less games, and has virtually non-existent fanbase, as appose to Ridley's, which gargantuan in comparison
