Xbox One delayed/canceled in most countries

It's old News already, but still an enormous fail from Microsoft, again.
Only the following countries will get the Xbox One on the promised date:
- Australia
- Austria
- Brazil
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Italy
- Mexico
- New Zealand
- Spain
- United Kingdom
- United States

The following countries will have to wait for somewhere in 2014:
- Belgium
- Denmark
- Finland
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Russia
- Sweden
- Switzerland

The following countries will probably never see the Console at all:
- All of East-Europe.
- All of Middle-East.
- All of North-America, except for USA, Mexico, and Canada.
- All of South-America, except for Brazil.
- All of Africa.
- All of Asia, except for Russia.
- All of Oceania, except for Australia and New-Zealand.
- Liechtenstein.
- Luxembourg.
- Monaco.
- Portugal.

The countries in the delayed category get promoted with free games.
They said the delay is made, because they want to optimise localisation, but that would make it strange, that Switzerland is on the delayed list, as they speak German, French, and Italian as their official languages.
Maybe for Romansh?

Does this mean the end of the Xbox One is coming very soon?
Discuss.

Bah, it was dead to begin with, they improved a little, then died even harder again.

Especially considering this.

Asia isn't really a huge loss for Microsoft, the 360 did piss poor there.

Though the delays to most of Europe puzzle me.

There's room for only so many console companies. Someone has to give.

Especially with Google and their Ouya out.

Does somebody care about these Consoles?

Apparently no

Stupid statement, but it's probably going to be region-locked to add insult to injury.

Oh, that's good. But, that's like a tiny band-aid on a machete wound.

Microsoft did remind people in the delayed and canceled countries, that the Xbox One is Region Free, so you can import it from the country they do give a fuck about, but also stated it's better to not do that.

So it's basically a kick to the face, a reminder that there's hope, and then a flick to the nose.

Microsoft logic, right?
They've never released a product that fully worked at Launch, in every country.

And while working with Nintendo, I did learn why they don't fail on this:
1. Don't support every single country/language.
2. Announce only when checked by Nintendo, and Release Date is planned.

In this case, I broke this by announcing Chimpuzzle Pro, before I had the DevKit in, but seeing what happened with Syobon's Action 3D, it's still a lesson for the future, and should be a lesson for Microsoft too.

So, all Tablets, Phones, TVs, and I dunno what else that run on Android are made by Google?
So, all Linux systems are made by Linus Torvalds?
So, all iOS and OS X devices are made by Apple? Wait...that one is true, unless you count all those Hackintoshes.
