Hmm, I don't remember. I toyed around with Microsoft Word rather than GIMP (GIMP's text editing options are extremely limited), though. I'll have to check in that laptop I haven't used in forever.

yeah, Word is awesome when you just need real simple work.

best thing to do, is do your simple steps in Word, then move to GIMP or Photoshop for some fancy editing.
