Welll I like the following shows.

Samurai Jack: Simply badass and I love how each episode goes, it's a shame it was cancelled, I would have loved to see the finale to see if jack really defeated aku and went to the past.

Powerpuff Girls: Very good Cartoon, I didn't get any jokes in it thought.

Dexter's lab: this one was the bomb, especially the movie.

Pokemon: Sure I know the anime is old but Kanto and Johto is where it's at.

Kirby: It's kirby. 'nuff said.

Friends: It has made me laugh a lot. Obviously people want it back but I don't see the point, how would it explain that everyone looks very different now? it wouldn't some kind of "coming back later in ammount of years" scenario.

Big Bang Theory: Some episodes are gold, but Sheldon is my favorite especially since he mention videogames a lot.

Mad: Some things are terrible in here but I find some other things good. (Spy vs Spy shorts, Pokemon Jurassic park parody, Sonic's sneakers, MLP WW2 thing based on a movie, Koopa soup, Pokéharmony (I don't care what anyone says, Bulbasaur and Venusaur were such a cute couple) and Kirby Star tours).

Agree with Big Bang Theory.

Mock the Week, QI, 8 out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You. I love comedy, so these panel shows and topical news shows are good for me, same with Live at the Apollo.

Digimon: Loved it as a kid, one of the greatest shows of all time.

Wacky Races: It was brilliant throughout, especially Dastardly and Mutley, I love how is Dastardly didn't cheat he'd win considering he was fast enough to pull ahead and set a trap.

Scooby-Doo: Where are You, the other ones with the original voice actors are good, but this always had a spot in my heart. Always made me laugh, used to the last thing I'd watch before going to bed as a kid.

The Fairly Oddparents: Man that was one heck of a good show! Before it was ruined by Season 6 and onwards. The humor is really hilarious and I really like how over-the-top and exaggerated some characters are (I love Vicky being so evil!). I also love the morales that the show is trying to teach to the audience but the number one is: Be careful of what you wish for. It's probably my favorite show if you don't count the newer episodes.

Spongebob Squarepants: Another show that I loved until it was ruined by the post-movie episodes. The writing and the humor was excellent and it really made me laugh.

The Magic School Bus: This show will always be a classic and a nostalgia fest. It's very educational and entertaining and it will teach kids things. Heck it even taught me some general things such as how electricity and engines work.

Transformers Prime: The story was good and it kept you on the edge of your seat and you wanted to follow it. I also liked the CG animation, it's very well done.

Danny Phantom: I enjoyed this series just as I enjoyed The Fairly Oddparents. I find the plots very well thought out and the enemy ghosts pretty creative. Another great work by Butch Hartman.

Jimmy Neutron: I like this show. It's very interesting, it has some humor in it, and I like the plots and stuff. It's been awhile since I last watched this show though.

I would like to list more shows (specifically from the Cartoon Network Channel) but those I haven't watched in quite some time (years I think). So I can't list strong reasons why I would like these shows.

Kirby Right Back At Ya. They give you the message that poor, cute, innocent Kirby is being abused by Dedede (Although he does remorse for it once he actually kills him), and I like that. Also the characters have a lot of personality.

I'm just going to cover two of my favorites. One I'll go short on even if it's probably my favorite TV show of all time and one I'm going to a little more in length to explain why I loved it from the first days I watched it and still love it to this day. And it really could use it especially as of recent.

The short one is on Avatar: The Last Airbender. On why it's short? Because it barely needs an explanation, it's pretty much universally known as one of the best cartoons to come out of the 2000s. It's the closest any show especially a Nickelodeon based show to absolute perfection on all accounts. It may be partly why Korra, a sequel series to the show still hasn't gandared the love the original it had. Because like it or hate it, it hasn't captured the spirit of the original at all and it can make it seem why Korra seems kind of a disappointment.

But now, for a longer one. I'm going to talk on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Judging by alot of posts in the Overrated Show posts. I can see that a bunch thinks the show has too much attention for just a slightly above average show.

But what I'm going to say right here. MLP:FiM deserves all of what it's gotten. And I'm not saying the show itself is the only reason for that, the true reason is what the show's created. A fantasy world and great concepts with tons of unique characters to exploit for some very great content within the fandom. Brilliantly done fan art, fanfiction, and even full-fledged animations have been made in tribute to this show

It's true that sometimes the show isn't the most consistently written. But I just find more to love in Friendship is Magic then most cartoons that run currently. There's literally no characters I like in any other cartoons that run today more then I do the Main 6. My favorite pony in particular, has become one of my favorite fictional characters of all-time. But in general, there's nothing I look forward more in a new episode of FiM then seeing the Mane 6's personalities work and gel together or even clash.

It avoids using gross-out humor or vulgarity for it's humor. Which in an age that started with Ren & Stimpy and probably contributed to recent shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show that counts on something weird happening every episode. It's actually quite a bit of fresh air.

It helps that through being a fan of the show I've come to meet some very good friends. Especially after I started my Ask Pony tumblr (Which in just under a year has gained over 1,000 followers) where I got to meet some pretty talented artists. That also gives this show a special place in my heart.

For the first month I started watching I did feel a bit secretive about liking this show. But after a while, it's become apparent that I'm not afraid to say that MLP:FiM is my favorite currently running TV show. I'm very much looking forward to Season 4 and whatever comes up in the future for this show. The next episode/season starting has become one of the highlights I look forward to just like the next amount of video games I'm interesting in getting.

I strongly disagree with you SonicMario, and I can nearly counter all of your points (popular =/= good show, characters have cliched personalities, etc.) but this topic is about shows you love but I had to counter your point when you said "it deserves all of what it's gotten" which could also mean the hate behind it as well.

I really hate to be the dissenting opinion of your favorite show but saying that it deserves all of what it's gotten is pretty much a stretch.

that's a pretty bold statement (pun not intended)

as for my favorites, i'd have to say that gravity falls and avatar: the last airbender

gravity falls i like mostly because of the humour, but i also like everything else about it (plot, animation, etc.) and i think it's a really well made show

as for avatar, i think sm summed it up better than me, so look at his post for why i like it

lastly, although it's not exactly a show by itself, super chicken is my favorite cartoon that i've ever watched. i can't exactly describe why i like it, i just think it's really hilarious

And I disagree with you as well, but this is basically a gushing thread. Just like I don't argue if someone said something bad about FiM or any show I like in either the Overrated show thread or the "TV shows you despise" one. This is for explaining why we like them.

You may not agree, but I love the absolutely flourishing response the show got. I've never been in a fandom like this, and I've especially come to love it more since I started an entire ask blog for it. Friendship is Magic ended up giving me more friends (albeit on the internet but that doesn't discount it any less as I've actually met someone through my ask blog and by extension this show that I've become closer then any friends I've had in real life. So pardon me if I gush about how special the show's been for me :P) then I've had before. And I plan on loving this show and the constant fanmade content as much as I can even well after the show itself has ended.

Transformers Prime

oh man where do i begin

well here we go

Transformers prime is a literal take on the g1 series(in parts anyway), as you can see some similarities between the two versions(not the g1 cartoon much, more of the comics). The show has a very odd mixture of light hearted and very dark storytelling.

While it is more serious there are many laughable things about the series(such as knockout, as well as starscreams many failures). The show is actually amazingly animated to the point later in the series where it feels like im watching an animated movie or something. Many different expressions, amazing vehicle scenes, intense action scenes. Overall things look good.

The designs are good as well, optimus still retains his look as he has done throughout the ages of transformers(besides the beast series), while some take on the movie designs and vastly improve them. Megatron actually looks like a bit of his g1 design(from the g1 cartoon), while putting a more taller and more intimidating apperance.

Story wise it kinda starts a bit a random, but there always seem to have a main goal of the classic DECEPTICONS RULE EARTH AND BEYOND, but usually different things throughout each arc story, and it just differs in general, overall its good, more serious than previous incarnations, but still has enough time to have some comedy.

What surprised me is the fact that humans are actually useful this time around. Such as Jack destroying a decepticon space vessel, or raf(sp?) hacking into various devices(whether they be helicopters or massive mother computers). Miko isnt really that useful though and is quite annoying for a good portion of the first season, but later gets better and takes things more serious. Although i must admit i do love her friendship with bulkhead.

A variety of old boots certainly show up such as wheeljack(who i freaking love).

The soundtrack is just... well very impressive to say the least. It really surprised me before many times i thought the soundtrack would just be smallest effort like most tv shows, but it is actually well developed and certainly makes the scenes more interesting, if anything id call it movie quality.

There are various designs i like such as megatron, wheeljack, bulkhead, and so on.

The only flaws of the series really is at times may be too serious and the fact that miko is so annoying, but once again, that is redeemed.

well that's my bit on it, its probably my favorite show right now.

I'd actually watch episodes online, but for some reason i cant bring myself to do it, maybe its out of respect for the show.

Also the show is loosely inspired from alex irvines transformers books, read them, they're great.

So in the mean time 3rd season shall wait until the 3rd season dvd comes out(im assuming its not out yet).

tl;dr: this show kicks massive ass and its my favorite ever.

Probably many are going to disagree, but I really love Family Guy. I think that it does a great job being a modern satire about some topics, and it's a rather funny show with some of the cutaways. I'm not saying that some of the stuff in this show isn't kind of uncalled for, but overall, it's a really good show in my opinion.

I love Family Guy, but I disagree with BMB in that I think everything is "called for." To quote an unrelated series on an unrelated medium, "Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

I said that there are stuff "uncalled for", not called for. Family Guy can cross the line a few times on a few topics.

You misunderstood my sentence.

That's what makes it Family Guy. It is a positive quality of MacFarlane's work, in my opinion.

There are only a few TV shows I've really enjoyed, probably because I don't watch much TV.

I enjoyed a lot of the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes. Because science fiction, and the characters are all likable. Except Troi. And Wesley. We could do without them.

Mythbusters is always an entertaining show, where they do cool sciencey stuff and it's always interesting and funny.

I like NCIS for a lot of the reasons I like TNG. Mysteriousness, gunfights, and likable characters. Even DiNozzo isn't so bad when you get used to him.

Ziva :(

Mythbusters is probably my second most-watched show. Can't get enough of their antics.

I really love Bones as well. I feel that the show is constantly entertaining, and one of the few shows we (my family) watch together.

And yes, I love Mythbusters as well.

I always get excited whenever they show Mythbusters in class.

South Park:
I love this show! I like how the animation looks sorta like cardboard cutouts; I like how the show makes fun of everyone (no exceptions); I agree with almost all their views; etc.

I used to like Bones, before everything got so overly romantic and personal with the characters, that it didn't interest me anymore. The same thing happened with House.
