From the phrasing of it, it sounds like all future DLC characters are being decided via ballot and the four we have now were the only pre-planned ones. It may be a translation issue but this site is usually reliable. If this is the case, my theory was wrong.

Time to spam the ballot with votes for Wolf. At first, I thought he was a guaranteed pre-ballot character. But now I'm nervous.

I think Wolf has a good chance still.

if another update releases which adds more placeholder spots then i'll eat my words, but for now i'm not getting my hopes up that it means more than what's already been speculated

Two just seems a bit small. I suspect that we will get two characters in the next round and more after that. Also keep in mind that there is currently nothing in the game related to either of the other 64 stages.

What if we get Fourside and another Melee stage as DLC in the future?
