Are you a nerd?

Uhh, yeah?
 
I have a good deal of nerdy traits, but I don't personally identify as a nerd. I disagree with too much of their philosophy to do it.

Somewhat related: There was that one time where I saw a group of them discuss the nature of relationships vs. player-npc relationships in video games, and coming to the conclusion that virtual women are superior to real ones because they always remain faithful, never break up with you, and exist solely to please you. Ever since witnessing that, I've become somewhat estranged with the whole nerd thing.

Being a nerd is, in its core, a social stigma. And like any stigma, it is not something to give power to by dwelling on it. It is something to rise above. Something to overcome so you can become your own, individual person, which is something you can truly be proud to be.

if the nerdcore rose up and got elevated?
We consider the possibleness of this not overstated.
 
I'm probably closest to nerd if anything. I don't really obsess over anything though. I spend most of my money on videogames but I barely ever talk about them outside of forums. If people ask I try to avoid the subject.
