Let me critique:

Mario series: Really only one rep should be added, and out of your choices, Bowser Jr. Scrap Waluigi. (Honestly though, Toad's a better choice)

DK: Perfect. That's what I would have had.

Yoshi: Add Baby Mario and Baby Luigi!

Wario: That's fine.

Zelda: Take out Vaati and Impa and put in Young Link. I suppose Impa wouldn't be too bad either, but she'd be too close to Sheik.

Kirby: Perfect.

Pokemon: I really don't know much.

Fox: No Crystal. I don't think Star Fox needs it.

F-Zero: That's fine

Fire Emblem: Even though I'm a fire emblem fan, I think only three are needed. Take Chrom over Lyn

Earthbound: Claus isn't needed.

Metroid: Perfect

Classics: No Duck Hunt Dog and everything else is good.

Others: Those work, but I don't really see Saki happening for some reason. Isaac, maybe.

Kid Icarus: Perfect

Third Party: WAY to many third parties right there. Some choices I'd like though, but 3 would be reasonable, so take Pac Man or Mega Man along with Snake and Sonic.

I bolded ones that I didn't like
Duck Hunt Dog is dumb, Layton couldn't fight, Pac-Man almost never appears on a Nintendo system, Sora mainly appeared on PS2, and the rest are overpowered

Also, Ridley is too large and would probably be at the top of the tier list

Don't use that Ridley arguement. It isn't good. They downscaled Bowser. And Olimar is an INCH tall. I think Ridley can be scaled down.

Palutena, doesn't exactly have destructive powers or anything, but if you've played Uprising, there is so much potential for her.

That's a very weak argument, pal. The Baby Mario Bros. are anything BUT a pair of Pichus.
 
Which is why I model-swapped them over the Ice Climbers in one of my hacks. And they pretty much fit the hack too, if one does not count the ice stuff.
