Paper Mario Epix is back in development!

Paper Mario Epix is now officially back in development due to popular demand by fans ;D

The game is going to be different this time around, with it being a platformer/RPG rather than a barebones RPG.
I have been getting some creative ideas for the gameplay, so it doesn't feel like just another fangame.

Mario's partner system will return with new characters.
Confirmed characters so far are...

Buster, a yoshi that can be used for fast transportation and covering long jumps.

Pyrosky, an orange bob-omb that can explode large blockades and withstand great heat.

Digit, an intelligent pigit (SMB2 character) that can provide advice and fix anything he finds.

Shyclair, a gifted shygirl with psychic abilitys.

More are to be announced

Since the game is being redeveloped, no screenshots are available at this moment.
Keep an eye out though!

Sincerely, shyguy777 :mario: :luigi: :peach: :bowser:

Cool! I'm glad that you went back into development. It's been a while.

Oh I remember this!

...barely, but I remember that it looked very cool. Glad it's back in action!

Screenshots are coming soon

This should be interesting and I'm looking forward to the screenshots very soon.

Have any idea about what "Paper Mario" materials you will be using, by any chance, shyguy777?

If you are referring to the game's media, than I used The Spriter's Resource community and all of it's brother sites for sprites, textures , sounds ect.

I know that; but I'm referring to which Paper Mario game installments you're planning to use game materials wise for said project.

If you're using materials in relation to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door or Super Paper Mario, make sure you had time to assemble the characters you wish to use.

Dude, this is awesome. I am overjoyed you went back into development! ;D

Take ALL the time you need, God, this is beautiful.

Thank you both very much!
The people of this board are the reason why i'm getting back into making the game.

As for the question, the game is built off TTYD and SPM. The environments however resemble more like Super Mario Galaxy. The world will have have paper-esqe objects, which is how you know if you can interact with them or not.

Ladies and gentlemen, the earliest screenshot of Paper Mario Epix has now been released.

^ If you don't mind me asking, what application are you using to create this fangame project, by any chance?

Blitz3d for programming, Milkshape3d for modelling and texturing and Fragmotion for animations

I remember this and do you will release this on Mac? If you couldn't, don't worry because I got new PC

The game should be compatible with both.

BTW more screenshots of the beta build of the first world in the game, The Mile,o Isles.
It's a floating island where yoshis frollick in. A way of transportation around this world is by a Flutterbub, a peach like plant that soars with the wind.

Development on PME is going good so far. I just want to thank all of you for the motivation. You guys are the reason that i'm working so hard on this game. It's not easy, and the game may not be perfect, but I assure you that you guys will not be disappointed.

The landscapes in the game look so much like SMG landscapes which I am fine with! I actually like it. Can't wait to see some battle shots

Not to be rude or anything, but the one thing i don't like about those screenshots are.....it just doesn't fit the "Paper" Mario style. It feels a bit too realistic for a Paper Mario game. But other than that, impressive.

The game is actually a platformer. Think Super Paper Mario mixed with Super Mario 3d Land.
