Same happened to me, I was a sucky player in Super Mario Bros, but when I played Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, I got better! I even got at World 8! But the Hammer Bros. always cost me a power-up, too!

Hammer Bros are annoying as heck. In Mario 1 in W 8-3 sometimes the Koopa Shells go right through them when I kick them at the Hammer Bros. Other times they just jump over them.

W8-3 in Lost levels was worst. You have 4 Hammer Bros, a lakitu, red Koopas and a part where you have to jump on Paratroopas to get past the gap and if you get the star you not jump of them. U go right theough them
