I wouldn't say Saffron's Gym is the hardest but it's definitely the most annoying

Elesa, Clair and Whitney are really the only ones to give me trouble.

do I need to say more?

Besides Whitney, the only other Gym Leader I remember I had to fight more than 2 times was Burgh.

I thought Elesa was quite easy, event though I chose Oshawott.

Whitney was a pain as well as Lt. Surge in HG/SS (first gym I faced when I arrived at Kanto and I had a Feraligatr).

Earth Adept
I hated Erika and Misty because I needed to bring Pokemon with HM moves. And pretty much every Ice-type gym.

Whitney in HG wasn't actually that hard for me.

The puzzles in Snowpoint would annoy me to death when I played Diamond and Platinum

Actually you do need to go in the pool if you want to battle the swimmers for more exp.
Uh...no.

There's only two swimmers, and they both talk to you as you walk up the pathway.

...unless this is some Gen II thing?
